Hi everyone, I am the lucky person who adopted Wilson and I thought you might all like to have an update on him. As you can see from the photos, he has settled in well. He absolutely adores his big brother Alfie, and the feeling is mutual. They love zooming round the garden together and Alfie plays beautifully with the rumbunctious little (relatively) Wilson. He tolerates Wilson's puppy play, lying down to be the same height and playing tug with him, letting Wilson think he has a chance of winning. After a good play they both settle down for a nap, sometimes together, as you can see, and sometimes they'll take themselves of to separate beds, it's up to them. There hasn't been any arguments so far as Wilson is very respectful of what Alfie tells him. They just get on perfectly. Can't wait for the day I can take them both to a field for a good run around together. A massive thank you to everyone who was involved in Wilson's early days, he is such a sweet natured and easy going little chap. It was lovely to meet Nancy, Paul and Henry and their Alfie and Suki when we picked Wilson up, they did a wonderful job. Marianne xox

Fabulous Marianne!! Absolutely delighted. We still miss having the little rascal around but he has certainly landed on all four paws with you all. Hope the trip back to Uni went well. It looks as though Wilson has grown since Saturday! Great to see you on here. X

Hi everyone, long overdue an update on Wilson, so finally got round to doing it. He has grown soooo much in the month or so we've had him. He sleeps well at night, usually all night til about 7am then down for toilet time and breakfast. We have been out for several walks and he's been so good, his recall is fab unless he's distracted playing with Alfie then he'd rather be with his brother but we're working on it. He was off lead today for a bit and did really well, coming back when called and with his brother. They had a lovely zoom round the field together. They get on so well, and tonight I noticed he'd curled up to one side of their bed, leaving room for Alfie who came along later and lay down in the space left for him. They have a great time out in the garden, and there are several new holes that have appeared. I wonder who that could have been? 🤔 Toilet training is pretty much cracked, just the very rare dribble when he can't hold on long enough, bless him. He runs to the back door and smacks it with his paw to let me know he needs out. He has also learnt to go when told if I have to go out and leave them which is fabulous. He has also been learning some basic commands and a couple of tricks to keep his mind occupied. He picks everything up sooo so quickly. He will now sit, down, stand, give a paw, bow and we have just learnt pray. He is so easy to teach. We start puppy classes next week as I want him to learn without Alfie around and also socialise with other pups. Should be interesting, he is very good with meeting new dogs but sometimes gets a bit anxious so it will be good for him to broaden his horizons. We have also done a bit of socialising, meeting new people and different situations and he is doing really well. The funniest was the Canada geese that flew overhead honking loudly. He came running back to me and snuggled under my arm, watching them go overhead. Then met some ducks a few minutes later and again snuggled into me a bit unsure to begin with as they were swimming towards him quacking. As you can see from the photos, he has found my bed! And now jumps up onto it himself!! He couldn't do that a few weeks ago 😄 He has settled into our routine here very well and is so good. I'm not sure how long that will, last for as he has now realised he can jump up and get things off the table/raised surface if he wants as he has grown so much so I will need to keep my eye on him. He is very good at not chewing things, that too may change as he starts to lose his baby teeth but for now he sticks to his toys mostly. All in all he is such fun to have around, Alfie thinks so too, especially because of the extra feeds and treats he gets. I've had to cut Alfie's main meal down as he is getting too much extra due to training treats and now breakfast, which he never used to eat! Oh well, it will all change again as Wilson gets older. For now, I'm just going with the flow. Here are a few pictures of them both. Lots of love to you all and hi to his siblings. Marianne, Wilson and Alfie xox
