Hello Handsome Marmite. ♡ He reminds me of my Betsy-Boo. Hopefully he'll stop cocking his doodle indoors soon. Jethro still occassionally forgets himself

OMG. In some of those photos he is so like Miss Elly, especially wearing her old fleece.

What a lovely boy he is! Quiet as a mouse last night with no dramas! I have discovered that he doesn't like to be sent to the garden, like he sees it as a punishment! So I will be working on this over Christmas with lots of treats and praise! He did a couple of small pees this morning including one in my handbag hanging on a door!!!! But I'm hoping once the garden fear has been addressed we can solve this! He is very deaf but his eye sight seems pretty good! He is just a a wonderful sleepy cuddle monster!!

So sad when a dog associates a normal activity with punishment. Bless you Penny for taking care of him and helping him get around it.

Sounds like he's found a wonderful place to learn what a loving home is all about. Good luck.

I've just worked out why he barks by the front door! He doesn't want to go out! He wants the stairgate open so he can go up to see whichever kids is up there! By the way, he loves kids!!

I had a foster dog that wouldn't go in the garden alone. We were pretty sure he had spent long periods locked out. He was fine as long as someone went out with him - it didn't matter to him that it was 5.00am and . I had to be out there in my shocking pink dressing gown, rain hat and wellies!

Marmite had a check up with my vet today and they found that he had a bit of a urine infection. I'm hoping that this may explain his random little pees in doors as so far his poos have all been a outside so I'm pretty certain he is housetrained!! The vet was going to attempt to take more off his nails but marmite found it a bit too stressful so the will take another look at his next appointment on New Year's Eve when he has his 2nd vacs. Now back at home he has curled up to a kid to catch up on sleep! All this old fella wants is someone to love and all he asks in exchange is some good food, a cosy sofa and a couple of shortish walks each day.
