Sorry not to be meeting him on sunday, but really pleased for this handsome young man. I'm not surprised he has had lots of interest.....he is a stunner.

Bye bye little Elvis. Have a safe trip with Uncle Keith to your new happy home tomorrow. Well done Keith and Mollie, 'Into the breach once more'. (sorry for the mis-quote!)

On his fourth day with us he is clearly relaxing into our pack, so it's a good job he goes to his new home tomorrow. He has been urging Hugo to play with him,and they are beginning to sort out their play rules! He is also getting more cheeky around Lorna, and at tea time he dared to push his nose into her bowl before she had finished! He was smartly bitten on the nose, and looked most aggrieved! I told him it was his own fault, and no blood was drawn, so I won't be handing him over as damaged goods!
His recall continues to be very good, with the result that I can confidently give him a long run off lead, so he gets tired and then flops down close by when we get home. The only snag is how readily he goes over to every other dog he sees, and this morning he was following a group who were going the other way! Fortunately he did eventually hear the whistle, and came charging back.
I don't think his new family will be disappointed!

Elvis has left the building! (I know you all wanted me to say that!)
Janice says she may change his name: she doesn't want to be heard shouting "come back Elvis" at the top of her voice. People may think she is a loopy fan of the King!
Safely delivered to his new family at Cobham Services, despite loads of traffic hold ups for both of us. I got home at 4.30. Not quite as much traffic nearer home, but I had to go back one junction when I left the services, to get off the M25, as it was solid, stationary the way I wanted to go!
Will post as soon as I hear how their journey went.
His new slaves!

Really looking forward to hearing how Elvis progresses with his new family. Well done K&M for another great (if somewhat speedy) foster!

Elvis did not have a very happy first half of his journey. As I was travelling on my own he rode in a crate rather than with his head on my shoulder from behind the driving seat. Although he has got more used to the short trips in the car down to the park, and was nearly jumping in of his own accord, this was a long journey into the unknown, so he was salivating all the way, and was a little sick at one point. We had a nice long break at the rendezvous, and I suggested that he might travel the rest of the way better if he was on the laps of the three children on the back seat.
I'm delighted to report that he slept peacefully all the way. Janice and Brian are dog sitting another young dog this weekend, just a year old, and after suitable introductions they are getting on well, chasing around and playing.
I hope their first night is as successful!
