With eyes like that he should be Bowie rather than Elvis. or Ziggy.

With eyes like that he should be Bowie rather than Elvis. or Ziggy. Read my mind but what better than when he's adopted for the post to read "Elvis has left the building." Stunning boy. Must be hard for his owners to let him go.

Elvis slept well in the crate last night until Mollie got up for a wee at 6am, even then he wasn't crying to get out. Went down to the garden with Hugo and they both performed as expected. Then back onto the bed for a cuddle with Mollie. He's very wriggly though, and doesn't settle for long. We went for our usual walk all along Whitecliff. He was reluctant to get in the car, but travelled with our two no problem. He very much enjoyed all the new smells and dogs, though he was cautious with some of the bigger ones. Part of the time I had him on a normal lead, and he walks well without pulling. I also tried the extending lead, and of course he enjoyed that bit more freedom. Everything was new and exciting, and he was not too dismayed by the trains rushing past, but he didn't like the tractor with it's noisy grass cutter machine. Hancock Lurchers are often first cross CollieXGreyhound, and he certainly shows his Collie side at home, always looking for 'something to do'.
His next foster, and indeed his permanent home, will need to understand the demands of the Collie type.
Oh yes, he's a keen worktop surfer! But he does understand No! Or Down!

Had a collie! Does he try to round things up? Collie xs need lots of input and lots to do!!! He has got that endearing 'I didn't do it' look that collies have. I absolutely love him. He would make a good friend for Indie!!!!

Thanks for the update Keith. His relinquishing owner has worked hard on his lead work and recall. I did have the feeling that he was "with me" as we were walking along. Although he was interested in everything around, he wasn't pulling madly to run off. I didn't dare test his recall on the first day though! Another nice thing about him is that he isn't pestering Hugo to play all the time, as some pups might. He lets Hugo sleep and makes his own amusement, be it watching what I'm doing, or mooching around the garden to see if there's anything edible that's been overlooked! As I write this he has at last stretched out on the kitchen floor, but if I move he will be up! "Whatcha doing then? Am I involved?"

I've managed to upload some snaps now:
Always interested in what's going on...
Always eager to eat...
Alert
Sometimes relaxed...(not often!)

He really is gorgeous. Give him a few weeks and I bet he'll be puppy playing. It must be very confusing for him so no wonder he's watching you for direction. Let's hope Jenny can find a foster place for him soon and that it won't be long before he gets his forever home.

Id foster but you wouldn't get him back !!! I'll bet he'd be just your type...especially for agility. Imagine what fun you could have!! I love the way his facial markings are almost 4 quadrants of brindling and plain fur with such a straight line down the middle. He's certainly a looker!

Monty & I met Elvis this afternoon, He is an absolute sweetie, no signs of nervousness, came to me when called and gave me a nice lick. there was quite a gang on Whitecliff this afternoon and he had no fear of all the new people or their dogs ranging in size from a MicroYorkie to a large GSD. Somebody is going to be VERY lucky to get him. Well done The White Home for lost boys (& girls)
