thankyou everyone,
yes, have to admit we have again joined the FFC.
and i blame my OH.
Ollie has been with us for nearly 3 months now, and Pete totally loves him to bits, and Ollie has learnt to trust him, although he still has his moments when he will run and hide,- ...its a man thing !! ...- Ollie is my shadow, he follows me everywhere, and it has been increasingly hard to visualise letting him go,.
i tried to be the strong one, saying he would settle in another home in time, but Pete thought he would be traumatised by another move. On our last visit to the vets, i popped into my friends on the way back, and poor Ollie was a complete nervous wreck, he just stood and shook, hiding behind my legs. He finds it so hard to deal with new situations.
I realised Ollie was very happy with us, and i didnt want to be the one to turn his world upside down again.
i also knew Pete was going to be gutted if he left, .. he had said, if he goes, he wanted prior warning so he could be out,..
he couldnt bare to see Ollie being driven away.
I couldnt do it to Pete, and i couldnt do it to Ollie, so
"Ollie is here to stay " ;D ;D
and we all love his so much ;D
He is such a good boy, he just fits in so perfectly with the others,
and now i wont have to break that bond.
All the others are happy to have Ollie cuddle up to them,
so for us, that is the the one main criteria, that they all live happily alongside each other, otherwise failing would not have
been an option.
Ollie had his final check with the vet last friday, from his leg operation, and although we are still on walking exercise only, in another few weeks, he can have a little off lead run, on flat level ground. My feeling is, that when i let his off, he is going to go
like a rocket, but i am hoping he will be sensible
but he has waited a long time to get to this stage, having spent quite a while only using 3 legs.
So i guess Ollie Dog, you will be off to
"Happy Endings" soon, and a big thankyou from Ollie,
to Auntie Jenny, for taking him into SLR, and making him better again.
and also thankyou to my vet Malcom, for taking such good care of Ollie for the past 3 months.
