I knew my day would end in perfection Just walked the oldies, sat in the garden with a glass of red and logged on to see a beautiful update and piccies that made the screen go blurry I can not express how much we are happy that you and Tim have 'Little Miss' as I cal her. She looks so happy, settled and contented with her new family. I can not wait for Sunday so that I get to see you all and have a special snuggles with 'Little Miss' Jim is very sad he is not going to see her

TRUMPET FANFARE !!!!! I am pleased and relieved to announce that Annie who was Poppy and since then every name under the sun is now and with lots and lots of consideration hereby officially called ....... ......... SUKI ;D The name is derived from Susanna which in turn derives from the Hebrew word meaning 'lily' ... given the beautiful colour of her coat and that I've newly discovered Lily of the Valley flowering in the garden, it seems only fitting. It was either that or Teflon cos nothing was sticking . Thank you all for your suggestions. 'Nory' ... honestly Sal . Last night we'd moved on to ballerina names as she flits and dances around the garden. Darcy seemed good but reconsidered as there's already Dear Darcy with the TM's. And with having Jack (as in 'and Jill') we pondered about Jilly/Gilly in honour of her fostermummy Mrs TM....no blubbing hun . As lovely a name as Poppy is, it just didn't seem right calling it aloud. She is a wonderful bundle of cuddles and softness but there's a spritely playful side so soft sounding names weren't really quite right. Suki we think is pretty much perfect . All went well at the vet's yesterday, she didn't react to the needle at all ... too busy snaffling treats and even stayed laying down on the floor just to make it tricky for him. He tried draining off the fluidy lump on her leg but it just refilled. It can be removed when she gets spayed anyway. He suspects she's had several litters but none recently which confirms that her bleeding was a season and nothing more. We made the mistake of a twilight walk yesterday, wont be doing that again. It would appear she is perhaps not cat-friendly (just like the other 3 ) as she and Jack proceeded to dive in to a hedge in hot pursuit, taking me with them too resulting in a bleeding knuckle and rope burn . They were fine by the way. Gasp! No new piccies to upload yet .

Just thinking that Bolly would suit her with that colouring - another Gene Hunt fan!

It was lovely to meet Suki on Sunday and the name suits her down to the ground. Such a pretty and delicate lass - I can see she and Shylo are going to battle it out for the title of 'Hampshire Princess'. What's wrong with Nory? ? Sally x

Its lovely seeing you all follow Suki's thread, thank you for being interested in her . And yes 'Bolly' was one of the many on her list of possible names, but we're sticking with Suki and she certainly knows it coming when we call it and wagging her tail This little bundle is just a delight and gets so much fuss when we're out that I should implement a donation for every rub ... SLR would make a fortune! She loves being out doors in the garden, soaking up the sun and flying around with the others and looks so content at home that it's hard to believe she's only been here almost 2 weeks. I've left them all alone for just over an hour on occasions and all is calm when I get back. Tim popped home after the school run the other morning and was greeted with all 4 bouncing at the door with helicopter tails . She's so quick that these are the only action shots I've got so far Yesterday was an afternoon out for Suki. As Jack is still ahem 'fond' of her I thought it best to remove all temptation and take her with me to Exbury Gardens. The azaleas and rhododendrons are stunning there and its dog friendly too(www.exbury.co.uk) so Mum and I spent a leisurely few hours dawdling around the gardens. Suki was the star attraction, I lost count of how many people stopped to fuss her and in the end Mum was chipping in and telling people about her as much as I was! I think she was more than content to walk her whilst I snapped away with the camera ... oh piccies coming up My bewtiful flower-girl all pretty in pink She caught sight of a squirrel and was all of a quiver but thankfully she didn't go charging off with Mum in tow and she didn't make a sound but she locked on to it visually at least until it vanished Quite good timing because it meant I could take a few pics of her in what was left of the bluebell haze She really is pretty as a picture It is tiring being so beautiful and smiling at everyone The perfume from this huge wisteria filled the air The customary taken-at-arms-length shot Its been a long busy day and I'd like to sleep now ... zzz's zzz's Wee Suki still has some healing to do ... spiritually as well as a bit of weight gain needed ... bare with me this is a bit waffley ... ... When we got to the gardens, she was sick in the car . She's travelled before without any issues and jumps in and out of the car freely. Going around the gardens she stuck to me like clue and if Mum walked on a little with her, Suki would stand still, watch my every move and wait until we were together again before moving. Trying to take photos of her was a challenge as she would want to be with me rather than just a few feet away. She wasn't sick again, had a few treats as we went around and ate her dinner fine so thought nothing more of it. Then, this morning she didn't want to go for their walk. She was happy waggy tailed having her harness put on but when I tried closing the patio door she bolted back in to the garden and this happened 3 times . We now think that her being sick may have been anxiety and a fear of being left and having to leave the house she was maybe afraid we were going to take her somewhere and leave her . She is clearly used to being with other dogs so perhaps the only times she has been alone is when she was given up by the travellers and then alone for those few days before SLR took her in. Who knows . Lets hope that her wanting to stay at home is a sign that she's happy here . We absolutely love this little munchkin and its so heart warming when she pricks her ears up, wags her tail and gives us a smile . We've discovered another favourite food too....left over spag bol, well mainly left over pasta with traces of spag bol on it. Tim was sat watching tv with the bowl on his lap and a certain little white dog walked along the sofa and hoovered it up quick as lightening!! She eats food so slowly and chews everything so this really was a sight to see . Must be my excellent home cooking .

I can't see the screen, it's all blurry What a beautiful update and the pictures are so perfect Sally, I can not believe how far Suki has come along in just a few weeks I thank the Angels for SLR There maybe something in what your saying Sally, my Sammy was very much like that with the sickness, worrying, not leaving my side when out (this is still the case ), and I feel that with his and Suki's back ground that it is a journey they have to go through to heal from their horrible lives Suki will improve with time, love, and patience and your wonderful pack

Fabulous photos Sally. Looks like she was just posing all day. And pink really suits her. Didn't realize you could take the dogs in there too. Bet they wouldn't be impressed with my three. Give Suki and all the gang bigs hugs from me.
