What a lovely home for her, thank you all so much for rescuing her. I'm Kylie who first emailed you about Willow when she was at the pound in Norfolk. I have always heard good things about SLR and now I know them all to be true. We will definitely be coming to you first when we are looking for our next lurcher. Good luck sweet Willow!

It's good to know that SLR has a good reputation, and hopefully you will come and visit the forum again. There's always lots of valuable information and advice to be found here, and you'll be able to see how the lovely Willow progresses on her journey to a new forever home.
Well Willow has been with us for 6 days now and each day we are seeing more of her character. She seems to have got used to her name and will come when you call her, especially for her dinner.
Another successful walk and it seems the horse in the next field didn't seem to worry her so much, although she did take a liking to a couple of rabbits in the field. Marty's arm is now slightly longer! LOL.
They are all collapsed in the sitting room after their tea, so a bit of quiet for a while. She remains a pleasure to have around. Video follows of her playing with her ball in the sitting room (too muddy outside) although five sets of feet do make a bit of a mess - good job we have a Vax carpet cleaner that we shall use just before Christmas!

Hi Kylie, I'm Jenny, who is the goafer here. xx
A dog is a gift in life. Love and protect it. _________________
It wasn't raining when we first set off on our walk today - but it sure was raining on the way back, all soaking wet despite waterproof coats. Willow didn't seem to deterred by it though but it sure brought a fair bit of dirt into the house. Very playful today, so we did have a 'time-out' for ten minutes. Willow then calmed down and went to her bed. The garden is very wet now and I've almost given up on washing the kitchen floor! Hey Ho. At least it isn't cold.
Just back from a very blousy walk on Brading Downs - it is blowing a hooley and coats were flying all up their backs. We arranged to meet up with Fran and Len and their pack, which was really lovely as we hadn't caught up for a while. Great to see them both particularly after Len's heart attack. He is looking well and taking it all in his stride.
All eight sure did have a great run around and poor Willow would have loved to join them but we didn't want to risk it as there were other walkers with dogs around too. We did take the camera, but sadly no pics as it took a great deal of effort to hang on to our hats. LOL.
Willow attempted the stairs this morning and managed to get to the top landing, but was unsure about venturing further so turned around and came back down slowly. Good girl Willow. She is settling more now and seems quite happy to relax when the other dogs are doing the same. Just had their dinner so all flaked out now, bless.
Hopefully this wind will blow itself out during the night and give us a calmer day tomorrow.
Willow is settling down more with the dogs although she still likes to play especially with her ball. She is happy to go to her bed when she feels the need to rest and loves to be on the sofa with us or any of the dogs.
She has been watching a Jenny Wren in the garden from the French doors and is very anxious to get out to her. Her eyesight is definitely good as we have trouble seeing it ourselves!
She loves her treats and looks forward to her dinner. There is no aggression at all with treats or dinner and it is funny to watch them all change places when they are finished with their bowl, just in case there is something left!
Just off for a walk on the Downs, at least it is no longer blowing a hooley, but it is still windy, although mild.
