So lovely that she has settled in so well. She really does look at home!! Although we only had a couple of hours with her, her gentle nature was quite apparent :-) Hope your crossing back was ok Carol x

Thank you the crossing was fine much better than I thought and she handled it very well. Because she didn't do steps, they took us up in the lift and allowed us to sit at the front of the main lounge which wasn't busy at all.
She is a real treasure and has fitted in very well with our own four.
Today was Willow's first trip to the vets. When we put her in the car you could see her thinking 'where am I going to now'. she hasn't been in the car since we brought her home.
A thorough check at the vets and she is now micro-chipped. Was a brave girlie too. A couple more things to sort out not least her spaying, but otherwise all well.
At the vets we had to lift her out of the car as she seemed reluctant to leave, but as soon as we arrived home she was on her feet waiting for the tailgate to be opened, bless her.
She is indeed a pleasure to have around and our neighbours and chums who have met her say how beautiful she is. She doesn't bark when people call, just wags her tail in greeting, unlike Shaunee (our smallest boy) who barks for England!
She seems to be getting used to her name and we shall soon start our learning curve of 'Sit', 'Down' etc, especially now she has .learnt to deal with the steps.
She sure likes to play and charges around the garden and the sitting room. Now just back from a different walk. Along the main road (not too happy with a passing Ambulance and then fire engine - but who is!). Then up across the fields. Wasn't too happy when we saw a horse in the next field or several birds flying out of the hedges, she's quite jumpy. But soon settled down. She does walk well on the lead until we see something she is not happy with. Managed to roll in some fox poo - thank you Willow. All cleaned up now and relaxing on her bed with the others. Peace at last if only for a short while.
Now I'm off for my shower - bit later than normal, but that's life. Carol
A couple more pics up for you all. Willow continues to be her charming self. Have started today to see if we can get her to sit. She does a perfect back leg stand but trying to get her bottom down is not an easy task. Early days so we shall persevere. She still has the treats though, bless her. She keeps looking up the stairs but hasn't as yet decided to give the climb a go.
Think she is in love with Leo as she keeps trying to him, Leo just looks at her. Pic below. Another good day in the Ritchie household.
We feel Willow would make an ideal single dog as long as she gets plenty of chums to play with or in a home with another dog around the same age. She loves to have company but has stopped following us around now and is happy to be in her bed if we are doing things in another part of the house - although having said that the house is quite small so we are never far away.
