Arthur is so lovable and cute. He came in with Milo, found a few miles apart and obviously knew each other. No history on these boys, but Arthur is people and other dog friendly. He is now being fostered on the borders of Dorset/Hampshire. I expect his foster will be along with piccies shortly.

Send Arthur my way.....we need to bring the average age down a bit. Ed needs a youngster to play bitey face with!
Plus Im a sucker for big speckley ears (apparently)?!?!

Tailwind called in today with Arthur. He was a friendly boy, even though Caspar barked at him (saying "Oh No not another one!") It was difficult to get him to pose, then he spotted the hide chew Where did he get those ears? Isn't that a lovable face?

It always amazes me how quickly these dogs settle into their foster homes and relax. He looks so content Yvonne.

Thank you so much for agreeing to take in Long John so that he can be near Graham. And Arthur should be with his new foster mum Jane any time now.

Jane has now taken charge of Arthur. He is such a quiet unassuming little lad. He just slots in so you hardly know he's there. I hope his op goes well and that he finds his permanent sofa soon. ;D

Jane has now taken charge of Arthur. He is such a quiet unassuming little lad. He just slots in so you hardly know he's there. I hope his op goes well and that he finds his permanent sofa soon. ;D Quiet and unassuming and as cute as they come! So, on the drive home I was considering the fact that a new dog should be introduced to the pack on neutral territory...hmmmm.. One human 3 dogs in house 1 dog in car. Well clearly the ideal intro wasnt going to happen, so I took little A into the garden and brought out Ed, James and Henry one by one. Ed just said "play with me come on playplayplay" ;D Arthur said "cant you see my tail lanky boy? It couldnt get any farther between my legs" Mum said "give him time Ed...you havent even sniffed his bum yet" James said "what the *** roo roo roo? I might like you but Im not sure yet. But just you remember Im old and if you look like forgetting I'll show you my gums....like this. And when I get my gums out I automatically make a really scary noise like this... grrrrr. Told you it was scary. Then I'll wag a little to show you Im not always grumpy" Arthur said "cant you see my tail granddad? It couldnt get any farther between my legs. Put your gums away" Mum said "James be nice or I won't rub your ears tonight" Henry said "Ooh 4 more legs, how interesting. Looks ok. Smells ok. Bit skinny. Right. Where's my dinner?" Arthur said "why havent you got any ribs granddad?" Mum said "OK my 4 Kings, lets go to the park" And as Kings Ed-ward, James and Henry run around off lead, the latest, King Arthur, could get a little peace as they bounded off and came back to visit him several times. Feeding frenzy was successful, and 'quiet, unassuming' Arthur could be heard galloping around upstairs, as he finished first and had access to the stairs. He stuck to my leg for a wee while after dinner and all 4 are now snoozing and wafting their own delightful aromas around my office. Lovely. So last snacks in a little while, and an early night for all. Up early tomorrow for walks and then the poor wee chap is off to the vets... Ed's reaction to yet another interloper!

Guess who forgot young dogs dont always tell you they need to pee! Hey ho....at least the carpet isnt plain!
Guess who forgot they pick up slippers and shake them and dribble on them and eat them!
Guess who forgot they sleep like the dead then wake up firing on all cylinders!
Guess who is now eating a handmade Afghani rug which I carried back in my suitcase!!
Guess who just remembered why they usually go for older dogs!!
Bless his heart !!! He's a total poppet ;D
