You do know it's you he's gonna blame in the morning, and not us God he's gorgeous.

You do know it's you he's gonna blame in the morning, and not us God he's gorgeous. I had a long chat with Arthur this evening as we drove home and I told him that everything he had suffered in his short life so far would soon disappear from his memory, including his surgery. The reason for this, I told him, was because in a few weeks, his life would become better than he ever imagined possible. as his precious Mummy Chook would find him a wonderful new family. And I told him his wonderful new family would keep him warm and safe, would tickle his gorgeous ears and his bristly chin and would make sure that he never suffered again. And this, I said to the tiny chap, is exactly what you deserve Beautiful Arthur is fine....up and about..stalking me for cuddles. Even been in the garden. Time for bed

No pressure then But I can assure everyone, with all the dogs, they don't go unless it IS the best.-

Big kisses from up here in Suffolk for Arthur. Glad he's getting on OK. We're following his progress with great interest (and a few pangs!)
Cath and Mike (the people who delivered him into SLRs care)

Bless you Cath and Mike - you did the best for him, handing him into Jenny's care.
He has totaly recovered from his GA now....we slept from 10 til midnight then on off whining.
He had some more food (he's ravenous but Im trying to keep it small portions) and a wee and still wouldnt settle.
Now he's by my bed chomping on a hide bone. Hence Im online when I should be onsnores!
Earlier he was all cosy in Ed's snow leopard PJs but I forgot they were a bit big for him and he peed all over them!!
Hopefully his batteries will be empty soon and we can sleep while he's recharging!

Arthur is on top form today - he has spent a lot of time in the garden and is now asleep. He's probably recharging his batteries for another night of fun and games - a nocturnal puppy As it was lovey and sunny I took lots of photos - not easy as he doesnt like to go too far away from the camera! There is a slideshow attached. He's the only dog Ive met who can eat grass, poo and walk at the same time (not included in the slideshow though!)

He is a stunner and getting more and more so each day! He's perked up totally now and is wagging his tail more than tucking it away He's secure, confident and found his place in the pack - no grumbling from anyone. He does have young dog needs though......Im hoping now they all get on well that we wont have any jealousy (only a little jealousy?!?) with toys etc. I picked up a pack if small hide chews this morning as a test.....all 4 have their own and theres been no grumbling so far. Arthur has his in his den with the door pushed almost closed so fingers crossed he will enjoy it all! He will make such a perfect family member.....xxx
