Slim certainly sounds so delightful and such a happy, easy going boy, it is great there is such a thorough, detailed description of him, everything anyone would wish to know before offering him a home and help them to make that decision, it is wonderful how Val, Bill Chloe and Tia have helped Slim come such a long way in such a short space of time, he sounds very well balanced and takes everything in his stride, he will make a family a very loyal and faithful friend

Slim is enjoying himself. He's been very good today, remembering not to frighten Bill by hiding in Ringwood Forest, and he's had a bit of a laugh at Chloe and Tia's new birthday collars which arrived today. Chloe was 10 this month, and Tia will be 1 next month, so both girls wanted new collars for their birthdays. They save up for them themselves, out of their pocket money, in their savings boxes which they keep in their bedroom. Here's Chloe's savings box: And here's Tia's: You didn't believe me, did you? Well they're both pretty good savers, and they had a bob or two to splash out, I can tell you. Chloe wanted the zebra stripe collar: And Tia wanted the snow leopard collar: Slim thought they were both silly and had wasted their money. After all, his Duracell batteries cost more, but they've lasted: Matron says I have to go to bed now. More news another day, Slim fans.

Billy and I were lost in a different part of Ringwood forest we're not familiar with today. The dogs all knew where we were, of course, because dogs always do.
Eventually we got fed up guessing which direction to go in so I used google maps on my phone to find our way out. Embarrassingly, we were only 7 minutes away from where we walked in! I'm thinking of wearing Slim's Paw Trax and giving him the phone.

Don't worry Val - you are in good company. I get lost all the time when I try a new route in the woods we walk in. We usually find our way out eventually. Adds to the excitement!
Why has no-one claimed Slim yet? He is such a fantastic dog.

Slim likes our local master butchers, Andrews of Verwood. He wants his Paw Trax unit reset so if he gets lost he'll be taken there. Would-be adopters, please note - Slim wants to be a butcher's dog! HAHAHAHA!

Lends a whole new meaning to the phrase "Take a butchers" doesn't it?! Glad you found your way home eventually Val, you and Bill would have been a big loss to SLR!

Exciting news tonight. Slim will be having visitors on Friday. Fingers and paws crossed. Slim looks a bit grubby tonight because he and Tia charged through every deep muddy wet puddle they could find in Ringwood Forest this afternoon. Sorry Lesley. I will clean him up a bit by Friday! X
