You are right Jules I am a soft touch for black hounds, they just seem to be the under dog colour in the dog world for some reason. Brindles are lovely but so are black beauties, what they might lack in luster they make up with love.

Have spent the evening babysitting my grandchildren just taken Holly with me. She has raided my daughters food recycling bin and finding some left over cheese cake that was devoured. The children were in bed when I arrived but as soon as the coast was clear, that is when mum and dad had gone my granddaughter had to creep down to meet Holly, I think they both loved each other Holly just waged and waged. So by going on this evening I would definitely say she is child friendly. She is now curled up on her blanket on my feet as she has been most of the evening apart from a couple of visits to my daughters garden and I am pleased to say she performed both times so she is being such a good girl. Lets see how the night goes.

You sound as if you are getting along fine with fostering. Testing with children and all else.

I have only been acquainted with Holly since this time yesterday and she is proving to be a little sweetie. Belle has got a playmate and some one to get up to mischief with. Dolly just gives it large and starts barking at them to put them in their place. I just love Dolly to bits she reminds me so much of Miss Elly she is just a grumpy Greyhound. We have not had an indoor accidents so things are looking up it obviously needs a woman to sort her out. ;D There are plenty of stunt kids around to test her with but unfortunately I don't have a stunt cat. All I can say on the way back from our walk today we came across a cat and she did not pay to much heed to it but Belle went into barking mode as usual.

Many thanks for the update Jean - 'tis good to know that the lass is fitting in o.k. with your regime.

Have just read the update of little Penny and her new home sounds so right for her, and by the sound of it she definitely needed to be with another dog. Holly is a confident little hound and very, very friendly. I think as you say she would be OK as an only dog or with others as she is getting along well with my two. As long as she had contact on walks with other hounds. She will make some family a super little pet, when the right place comes along for her. I now have a camera up and running so will post some photos later.

Holly has settled with us in no time at all and has soon got use to the routine. She loves her walks, her food and playtime, but best of all fuss time she is such a people friendly thing her tail never stops waging. She sleep all night thats more than I can say for Dolly she has me up and down in the night for a wee.Her toileting is coming on leaps and bounds she had one accident this morning when I was in the shower but then she could not get out no blame on her, if the weather was warmer I would just leave the back door open for her to come and go but is just a bit to cold. ;D I just have to keep encouraging her to visit the garden and she soon performs. But I think she is in to escapology on my hands as she keep escaping from her create. She likes to help around the house especially with stripping the Christmas tree. I can help you mum if you want I like the lights best.
