MY daughter called in with the grandchildren this morning to warn me how bad the roads and the paths were with the snow. To say Holly was pleased to see them is an understatement. Have taken a few photos she is so so friendly and is full of fun it will be lovely when she gets a family of her own. She loved the kids and when they went she would have gone with them given half the chance, she is probably fed up living with Nan and needs some excitement in her life.

I can't believe that such a lovely lovely dog has ended up in rescue Jean. She could love for England. Thank you for taking her in for us.

Your are so right Jenny she is such a loving friendly dog its a pleasure to have her with us until she finds her forever home. I am just so glad she escaped from the PTS situation that would have been tragic.
She has such a lot to offer to the right family. Also her toilet training is coming alone fine I just keep encouraging her to go out the garden every couple of hours, she was funny this morning out for a quick wee and shot back indoors out of the snow.
O dear I have just noticed in one of the photos my Granny vest on the radiator, give me a break I am old and cold. ;D ;D

Just a little update on Holly she has settled well, my two get on fine with her. Holly and Belle like to have a bit of a rough and tumble and Dolly has to put them in their place but Dolly's just all mouth and no trousers. ;D ;D She is the sweetest of hounds and loves everyone to bits I think her heart is as big as she is bless her. Just a couple of photos so you can see she is happy and relaxed with us . She will make some family a true friend for life she just wants to love and be loved. All the girls chilling out together Holly thinks she can hear someone Holly and the dreaded squeaky pig Head to head with Belle How can you resist that little face.

Had a trip to my local vet today to get Holly's second vax done, she was a good girl as usual all the staff loved her and she waged for england as usual. Had her weighed guess how much 29kilos I have told Jenny she is going to do the sponsored SLR slim. Its not fat shes all muscle, and my vet reckons she is probably around eighteen months old so still a baby herself really. And because she now feels happy and safe with us she has decided to come into season. She is a And when she curls up small on the sofa with Dolly you would never know she was 29 kilo she only need a small space. Have just spied my sofa, try to keep it covered while she is in season but not to worry the covers wash

My dogwalker has given me some dog nappies and as after all the fuss of finding them Penny rips them off the moment your back is turned I'd happily donate them to SLR. I've got about 17 nappies (the packs are 10 nappies each and originally cost £18.50 per pack - thats expensive!!) Let me know if you want them, otherwise I'll give them to Jenny next time I see her Caroline

Thats really kind of you Caroline but by the time you have gone to the trouble of posting them and the cost of doing so it will probably be just as cheap for me to buy some value ones somewhere. Like you I don't know how she will be with them, she might be just like Penny and rip them off. I have had two bitches in season before but never used nappies, but I don't like the mess either.

Holly has settle nicely into the Brown household and continues to be a little darling if a mischievous one. But she might be going to pastures new as she is having a visitor on Saturday so watch this space. My granddaughter will be upset she wants to keep her but mum says no, so can Nan keep her. If I have any more black hounds I won't need a rug they just cover the floor. ;D ;D

Yes fingers crossed for a lovely home for Holly to go to , if I did not have Dolly I would have been tempted but I want the best for her as would Jenny and Barney.
And that is for someone to take her that can give her all the love and attention that a one dog family can give. We have grown close in just the short time she has been here so I can't imagine how difficult it must be to foster children and let them go, its bad enough with a dog. ;D
I wish the best of life for Holly after all she has been through and if it works out on Saturday we shall all be happy.
