But don't rehome them all, or we'll have nothing to say to folks on the 7th Feb!! ;D Somehow I very much doubt that will ever be the case

Congratulations Holly and well done Jean, when I saw this had been moved I immediately thought you were keeping her, you have such a big heart Jean. Cant say I was not tempted Paula she was the sweetest dog with the nicest nature but being on my own I know my comfort zone and that does not extend to three dogs, it lovely to say I have a big heart Paula but in this case I can't let my heart rule my head my daughter thought I had lost the plot by fostering so I have to be sensible in my old age. ;D ;D

I received a letter form Celia Holly's new owner this morning with an update on Holly this is what she said A whole week! its been on of the loveliest weeks! Holly has settled really well, and so have I. She has been happy in the crate, when I can't be downstairs but I am in the house her favorite place is the one easy chair ! She would like a sofa of course. She is such a loving dog we all have the impression she's had a good start which makes me feel sad about who might be missing her. I do wonder what her story is. Anyway she has a new one now. My friends both called Sue are marking their calendar 'Holly' with our schedule. Their dog Josh is very old and tottery and Holly is really gentle with him. I hope you are all well and don't miss Holly to much, hope you will see her again anyway. Love Celia.

We met Holly and Celia on our walk yesterday. I think they were on their way home, but, on seeing a car full of lurchers pull in, decided to stay and say hello. I'm so glad they did! Holly was utterly lovely: beautiful, kind, and so obedient. And Celia is fantastic with her. It was great to see them practising 'recall from a distraction'--Holly racing back from a game to sit attentively at Celia's feet for a nibble of liver. ;D Holly has got that great bullx devotion: she really, really loves her person. ;D
Minnie, Felix, Maggie, Gigi and I hope we'll meet her again soon.

How lovely to hear that, and nice to have you hear. You must introduce yourselves and your hounds. Jean, who fostered Holly, will be so happy to hear that. Thank youxx

I was wondering how they were getting on! Excellent news. Hello Alice! Welcome aboard. Did Celia happen to say if Holly has managed the stairs now?

I know many of you will not remember Holly as she was in my care from SLR as my foster dog nearly three years ago now. I have always kept in touch with Celia her owner and she lets me know how Holly is doing. Holly has been unwell for about the last three months with a constant cough. First of all they put it down to kennel cough but as time went by and the cough did not improve they did further tests. At one time they thought it might be her heart then they thought she had maybe inhaled some food into her lung and that she had developed pneumonia. So I think she had been on long term antibiotics but she was still coughing. So in the end she was referred to Dick Whites veterinary specialist the same place Cracker was referred to. The performed a bronchoscopy on her and what did they find embedded in one of her lungs but a whole ear of wheat poor dog no wonder she had a constant cough and was unwell. They managed to extract it with out opening her up and as far as I know they managed to remove it all. Don't know if she had eaten it and it had just tracked its way into her lung or if it had just entered her body some where else and tracked into her lung . Who knows just glad she is on the mend now and on the road to recovery. Celia is like me and on her own with Holly and I know they are devoted to each other and I know how worried she has been over the last few weeks not knowing what was wrong with her. So beware of wheat and grasses what damage can the do to our hounds. Just off to post a little parcel for Holly and a little something in it to cheer Celia up.
