Simba is in rescue through no fault of his own. Tragically his owner died and left him to the care of her son. Sadly her son has now had a major heart attack and is in hospital, not expected to recover from this. For two months he has been looked after by an employee of the son, but their 8 month old baby has been rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties. It has been diagnosed as allergy to Simba. Simba is the loveliest most incredibly quiet and charming little lurcher x. Only 20 inches at the shoulder and not looking anything like his 10 years. Understandably right now he is a little timid as his whole world has fallen apart. All he wants is a fireside bed, and some cuddles. He will reward you with obedience and faithfulness. Simba deserves another chance of life. We couldn't turn him away. HE IS TOTALLY CAT FRIENDLY..... Has lived with 5 cats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. He is very intelligent. Please, if you are looking at this thread and see he is 10 years old, don't pass him by. Simba is in foster care in Kent with Vicky where he is said to be gorgeous.

A couple of photo of Simba from Vicky. Mim's double. Therefore, he must be intelligent. ;D And poor Vicky is having trouble getting him to pose. I am sure he will unwind tomorrow.

Hi,
I went to visit Simba and he is very well behaved. Simba deserves a forever sofa or bed, he is loved at the moment, just unfortunate that the baby is severely allergic. Simba sleeps down stairs on his own, I don't think his owner knows lurcher's and he is just so good he has not moved from the bed he knows.
The lady got that picture done by a professional photographer, so she was committed to keeping him, but children do come first over a dog that has been literally dumped on her.
Good luck Simba I hope you find your own forever couch/sofa soon.

Simba is settling well, he is very shy at the moment although he has taken a shine to my daughter. He is a little sweetie who has obviously had a lifetime of love so far, it really is such a shame things have gone so badly wrong for him. He would love a new home but he needs the right one as he doesn't want to have to move again. Please don't let his age put you off, he has plety of life left in him yet! ;D

Simba is being a poppet! He slept in the hallway in his bed quietly all night, he started off in the kitchen with my 2 but Lola is such a stroppy madam and kept yapping because he wasn't in a crate and she was!!! He has also spent a few hours in hallway with access to the upstairs and my daughters bedroom while I was at work. He asks to go out and is not destructive or messy at all and was so pleased to see us come home!! He hasn't eaten anything yet but I'm going to try mixing something yummy into his dinner to try and get him to eat it.

Good old Simba, When I went to home check him he was getting sausages as a treat, worth a try if you get desperate. But I'm sure it is just time. Bless him

He's starting to come out of himself a bit more now and he is proving himself to be a very loving boy, he was over the moon to see me come home from work today ( he was even waiting on the windowsill for me!!) He now feels brave enough to leave my side and go and lie in his bed too!!
