Oh blimey! He may be in his new home for chrimbo at this rate...... and I've bought him a pressie! He can take it with him, and his new lead - he came with one of those flexi leads and I don't like them so I bought him a blue lead to match his collar! (Luckily my friend owns a pet shop so I can get trade price!!!)

Little Simba is now reserved. We just have to sort out the logistics of getting him over to his new home in sunny Itchenor, W. Sussex. We had 3 offers of homes for this little man but this one was the best for him. His new mum to be is 92 years young. She still drives, swims every day, gardens and has two lovely ladies who have been friends for many years who come in, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to help with housework and dog walking. Sadly Betty rehomed a lovely little crossbreed 3 years ago, expecting to not outlive it, but she did and she so desperately misses her company. Betty has dedicated support from her carers and if Betty does not outlive little Simba they are written into the adoption contract to take him and love him for the duration. They are already fighting over visiting rights if that should happen. Betty's sister used to breed Red Setters and so the property is very dog proof. By the way, Betty's sister is 96 years young and looking forward to meeting little Simba. We have thought long and hard about what is needed for him and the set-up for Betty, plus the daily contact with the carers and their own dogs who also go in, plus good but not exhausting walks with their dogs is just what he needs. We think his guardian angel has done well by him. We hope you will all agree.

I don't think you could have found him a better home Jenny ;D I have just spoken to one of Betty's carers and she seemed lovely and very keen to meet little Simba. I shall be very sad to see him go but so glad he and Betty have found each other. What a lovely christmas present for this special boy. ;D

What a lovely outcome for Simba its nice to see oldies 'matched' up with oldies I am sure they will give each other lots of love and pleasure. I think I should have been matched up with an oldie instead my two mischief makers.
