Sending positive vibes from me too. I hope the vet can help sort out his tail so he’s not in pain and it heals quickly

All fingers, toes and paws crossed here for Ben's procedures going well and making a swift recovery. He is a darling Keep busy Lorraine. I know you'll be chewing your fingers off with worry. I'll send the strumpet around to distract you

Lorraine has emailed to say all went well. Extract from her email. Poor Ben has a urine infection as well.
"The vet has just rung and said Ben is fine. He has had all of his procedures and I can collect him later. However, he does have a urine infection which has built up a lot of crystals in his urine. She said the best way to deal with it is to put him on a special diet to break them down. She suggested Royal Canin urinary diet"
Hopefully that and some antibiotics will do the trick. x

Well Ben is home after a very eventful day, he's managed to kick us both out of the chair, and is recorveing well. His smile is now very shiny and he's had a third of his tail removed but is still wagging vigorously. If only they could have cured his snoring.

Sending lots of healing vibes for both ends. xxx Just as an aside...what a small world. My husband was chatting to someone at work today (Colin), who was telling him about his friends who'd taken on a collie/lurcher called Ben for a lurcher rescue, who was having his teeth done and part of his tail removed...he had no idea until just now, and then the penny dropped! It's your wee man he was talking about.

He looks very settled and a good amount of tail left to wag keeping up the healing vibes for the gorgeous boy.

Bless him, hope Ben heals well and that the UTI clears up fast. Sounds like he needs to keep drinking a lot to dilute his urine.
