We thank Wayne for his application, but we do not rehome to anyone who works away from the home for more than 4 hours in any one day. And Monty has been used to full-time company all his life. To rehome him to anyone who would leave him for lengths of time all week is not what he needs.
Well, the lovely lad arrived at HQ yesterday for a hollibob. What can I say that hasn't been said. He is so easy, so lovable, and so gentle. He loves his octopus toy and will walk around with it in his mouth.
He takes up a lot of the sofa!! If I have enough internet I will post a piccie or two.
He slept in the bedroom all night, with not a peep. We actually overslept until 8.30 a.m.
Today, we introduced him to a halti, gentle leader. He wasn't keen, trying to paw it off his face, but after half an hour he was walking happily with it on. Two leads attached to the leader and the collar and hey presto, one easy walk.
We also introduced him to Great Ashby Country park. The best natural park I have ever visited. We did the field walk and then the woodland walk.
He barks across to other dogs, but his tail is wagging all the time, and he is so soppy, he just wants to say hello.
Will upload photos shortly.

We were discussing that this morning. He has a lovely temperament and just wants to get to the other dogs to say hello. We'll see how he walks on the halti and how he is with meeting more dogs. He has such a lovely nature, I think he would fit in almost anywhere.
Here are the photos.
See how small the kitchen is!!!
He's around 27" to the shoulder. A bit bigger than Tag.
Off to the Country park.
Are we there yet?
He loved the walk
And so to dinner
And a cuddle. Need a bigger sofa!
And a snog... obligatory with Monty!!
Today was even better at the park. A good walk. The gang together.

He looks a lovely dog and such a white coat. Wait for winter!
In some pictures Monty looks white but that's mainly his lower body. His ears are a sort of cream which continues along his back mixed with a brown/grey hairs along his spine and he looks very unusual.
He's being an absolute poppet. The halti has cured his need to pull on the lead. Today we were lifting a barge board to raise the height of the fencing as the soil was on the bottom. We forgot Monty was in the garden. Out he went into the field behind the house. Had a little run around and then up to a tree to do a wee. I grabbed him. But I don't think he would have gone far. He came back when I called him, so perhaps we will try off lead in a few days.

Can you pass that on to Monty from me please. He is gorgeous and seems he will fit in well in most packs. Like you Jenny, if I took another on I will have no space to foster....just so tempting
I have left him and the pack every day this week. Monday 1.5 hours. Yesterday 1.5 hours and today just over an hour. No noise, no disruption, just 5 happy waggy greetings when I got back.
He likes to hold something and so when given a ball will proudly walk around with it. Click to view
Boy do I need those French Doors
Not there you great lumux

Monty is off to see Daniel Doherty, the "greyhound vet" to have his teeth seen to on Monday morning. Fingers crossed for the older fella who will be 10 in November.
