Oh bless him! He looks very similar in colour to Buddy in some of those photos - lovely stripey boy!
He certainly has some tail on him, doesn't he? Lovely pics Christina. xx

Dave has had a new friend come into the house our new foster George who is almost 5 months old and still all his baby teeth. ;D Dave greeted him with a wagging tail, and has been playing and relaxing with him beautifully. He really is a gentle cuddley boy. Dave has never once had an accident in the house which is pretty good when you are moved from your home to a strange house. I can honestly say he's the sort of dog you could take anywhere with you . He would just settle down in the corner and wait until you were ready to leave. His eyes are so deep just one look makes you go and give him a big and a cuddle. He is much more relaxed now too, I can go upstairs without him following on my heels and when I go out he is uncrated and left to sleep on his bed with the others. You can tell him to get into his bed and he will, he's so happy to just please you. For some reason his ears look really small in this picture but they are lurcher sized and very very soft!

We went for a nice frosty walk this morning such a change from rain and wind. Dave really enjoys his walks, getting quite vocal to let me know we need to get to the fields as soon as i put my coat on . He will bring back a ball or stick for you to throw and loves running into the bushes sniffing about for bunny smells then bouncing out again. He will always come back especially for a treat. ;D He can run quite fast so its difficult to catch him on camera but here's one of him keeping still- briefly! with Mia and other foster boy George sniffing something or eating more bloomin rabbit poo! |Mia's ears always end up inside out after a good run! .

in the last couple of days Dave has proved what a wonderful boy he is . Whilst we were on our walk yesterday a dog told Dave off for being to close to him, now he could have got angry and the situation escalated but Dave just backed off, no problem. Today whilst we were in the fields Mia and George went into our penned in bit (where I started George off lead), to chase a crow, but they found a quarter of a fresh? rabbit carcass. Yuky . George decided it was his and ran towards me with it in his mouth. Dave decided it was a good game and chased him for it. Now I have seen other dogs fight over a tasty fresh morsel and I did worry Dave may have a go at George but he didn't, in the end I managed to prize it away from George and thew it into a bush before Jazz came along because she would have got a bit mouthy to get her teeth into it He is a very gentle loving cuddley bear. I dont think he would be good with very small childen as he does get very excited, can jump up at times and would knock them over but he is calming little by little as he realises you are going to take him for a good run every day and will come back if you leave him to go out. He is much better on the lead too. Georgie the other foster pulls much more that Dave does now. Please excuse if there are any errors in this I have not corrected I have a very helpful Lurcher girlie sitting on my lap!

Dave is still being his loving self and although I do have to leave him sometimes for a little while to go shopping etc, he really needs to be with someone who can take him to work or be at home all day. He helped me tidy up the back garden a bit today, after watching me prune some willow sticks he decided to pull off some low branches from a small tree! Bless him, I only had to tell him 'No' gently once and he stopped, he so loves to be with you and help. The others were all inside in the warm asleep. They watched a bit out the french doors and George came outside for a few minutes - twice, but that was all the notice they took! Typical. He does roll in fox poop given the chance though, Yuk! I did try to get him in the bath but he wasn't having any of that! so in the end I gave up and just washed the smelly part. His coat is so thick but seems to stay odour free unless he rolls in 'it'! and dosen't moult much either, I get more off the others than him! He would make a fantastic companion dog, he has so much love to give. I will take some more pictures when he wakes up, now I have found the camera batteries in the X-Box controller! Kids!

I will take some more pictures when he wakes up, now I have found the camera batteries in the X-Box controller! Kids! I know I shouldn't laugh but... this did make me smile... I think I'll stick with dogs. I know where I am with dogs. Looking forward to more photos of this lovely chap, now the kid's cunning plan to make it harder to rehome him has been thwarted by a resourceful and even more cunning FM. He looks so loving and huggable, I bet he won't be waiting long. Angie

Just to add my plug for Dave. I walk with christina and her gang and dave quite regularly with my two and have to say he is a lovely lovely dog. Playful, friendly, good off the lead and would make someone a wonderful companion. Very loyal. I see the way he has attached himself to Christina and the way he looks at her with those lovely big brown eyes. He is just that little bit bigger, but i think that's a plus. You would feel nice and safe with him!! Please someone give him his forever home. Unfortunately I can't but I would in a flash if I could!

We met a beautiful brindle Greyhound today in the fields, and Dave was quite a bit smaller in height than he was, his is a bit wider than a Greyhound build but even part of that is his beautiful thick coat. He is definitely a Lurcher though as he plays like one all the way round on our walks loosing more balls than I can remember. He shows that he has the ball (or stick) in his mouth to get all the others to chase him and get the ball then they all forget there even is a ball involved and chase in a big circle with Dave in the lead and all the others (there were up to 6 today!) all playing catch up. He does make me laugh every day . Its very hard to take photos of him on walks with the others and he is mostly laying down at home ;D, so this afternoon, if dry enough I am going to take Dave on his own to the local park with the camera.

Definitely Christina, lot of him is thick coat, and of course he would look a bit bigger next to our slender, supermodel bodies of our teenage lurcher girlies!! (Didnt find your ball by the way!)

Dave is just stunning and you can see how loving he is. My heart is breaking as we have had at least 3 homes that would be ideal for Dave, and especially as he is cat friendly, but they just don't see it.
