Dave picked up toys and brought them to me to play yesterday and today he has had a great time, I let him off for a bit of a run round the field with Mia. His recall was very good but he only went off for a short time away from roads. He went off at full pelt for a couple of circuits with Mia beside him, they had such fun. It was wonderful to see him at high speed. He loves going for walks now and everytime he sees the leads coming out he barks and talks in excitement . He still pulls but even that is improving the more he is on a lead. Then this afternoon we went to PAH at the retail park and Dave came along for the ride. I didn't want to leave him in the crate for too long. He was so well behaved . So many wonderful smells and treats at nose height but he didn't take any . Tonight Mia decided to try and take a large chew hide that was Dave's, even though her's was upstairs. Up till now Dave would have let her take it but he decided to tell her off. Well the noise was terrible Mia wet herself but no harm was done at all and Mia is now realising that she can't take anything she wants from him. It was like brother and sister arguments He has forgotten all about it but Mia is giving him a wide berth still.

This is Dave enjoying a chew, he has a lovely thick bushy tail and his coat so soft to touch. He has put on some weight since he arrived as his ribs are less noticable and underneath where he was red and a bit bald he now has hair growing. He is one handsome gentle boy. He has also started to give little throaty purring noises when you give him a rub behind his ears or on his belly when he roaches!

We went for another walk in the fields today and discovered that Dave loves to chase a ball on a string, he runs around with it for a while then brings it back, leaves it when told and sits ready for you to throw it again ;D. It didn't work every time but when it did he was so happy to chase it and play tug of war with Mia. Jazz and Poppy as usual went under the bushes to look for rabbits but that just left us to play more. He did try to find them once but came back when called . I have trouble on my own taking pictures with four dogs but will have a go tomorrow . He deserves a home that will either have a large garden to run around in or walks where he can run off that energy, come home and sleep till next time!(with lots of cuddles too of course) He just loves life!

A neighbour saw him today and thought he was a different dog to the one I had just before Christmas so he must be looking better! I think he looks a bit like Bobby.

His colouring is gorgeous. A lot of grey fleck in there and I bet he is soft.

He is sooo very soft to the touch and loves a good snuggle up on the sofa, he still likes to follow me around most of the time but occasionally I manage to sneek off! But then you kinda miss him being with you! He has been mixing with all my girls well even little Poppy and Arnold the cat quite enjoys having him here too, I am sure in time I would find them cuddled up together. Good job he is not staying or I would never get the bloomin cat out the door when its raining!

Dave is really beginning to settle in here, Mia and him are always running together on walks now playing tug with the ball on a rope. He makes the funnest happy noises when he is roaching just so gentle like a little sigh. He lays in his bed and looks so lovingly at you, eyes half closed, you can tell what he is thinking . Come on people he needs his forever sofa soon before he becomes too attached here. Much as I love him, three dogs and a cat is enough for me at the moment. (famous last words! ) He is such a happy dog just wants someone around most of the time to give love and cuddles to.

He sounds such an easy lovable boy, I can't see why he's been overlooked. I don't usually go for brindles - I llke blondies or blacks / b/ws - but I'd have him like a shot, being so 'one-to-one' and esp so cat friendly - only he is so big!

He's not that big, I think the hair makes him look bigger. I've had larger Lurchers to foster and compared to my Whippet crosses and Jack Russell X he is a bighead! A Greyhound size that is and with that his fluffy tail as well, but he curls up to sleep and has that lovely Lurcher trait of sleeping all day if not out walking. He has such a wonderful nature its infectious we all end up smiling, even when we come home from a walk all muddy he so wants to be near you for a cuddle he keeps coming back to have a rub with the towel or his feet wiped, if you try to ignore him to attend to the other doggy feet he will sit on your lap untill you cuddle him again! A bundle of (joy) Dave.

Compared to my girls 21 & 22 tts Vinnie is huge 26ish tts but he takes up the same amount of room & I don't fall over him nearly as much as them Dave is gorgeous & you're doing a great job with him Christina

Dave has had a really good day today . We went for a very wet and muddy walk with Eva (Mia's sister) and Cassie Lurcher friends. They all had a wonderful time Dave met lots of dogs and was friendly to all big and tiny, on and off lead . He came back when called and walked next to me hardly pulling on the way back, going was so exciting we did pull a bit but I'm sure a halti would make all the difference as he really just wants to please. This afternoon I had to pick up Alex from school and get some PE kit bits we have lost (how do you loose a great big bag of kit twice? ) I sneeked out left the TV on upstairs and the radio on downstairs and left Dave out on a bed next to Mia and didn't put him in the crate . He was at the door when we came back but no noise at all and no damage so whatsoever. ;D Brilliant!

Not enough room on the dog beds, it would seem the best place to all play on when your just back from a muddy walk, if foster mum forgets to shut the bedroom door is the bed! Look at my dirty belly! Wasn't me honest!
