She has finally crashed out in front of the fire. It doesn't look as if she has had any training on manners etc. I am looking forward to turning her round. She is very thin but she is very young and although a little smaller than Pinky I don't think she weighs much less.
I really believe there will be a queue of people after this little girlie. Once taught a few manners she will be perfect. We all love her already.

I am pleased to say we didn't have a bad night's sleep. I awoke at approx 04.30 as I could hear an unusual noise. Not crying or barking just a 'noise'.
Bruce went down to check it out and decided to let all the dogs out. They all came back really quick, except for Pinky of course who spent the next 20 minutes looking for rabbits.
The noise I heard was a baking tin that Saffie was licking and pushing the round the room on the floor. Saffie went back to sleep until I got up at just after 06.00. She had been to the toilet in the kitchen overnight, but during the day she has been perfect.
I have left her a few times when I have gone upstairs or outside and she has been absolutely fine.
I took her to be checked over this morning and the vet said everything appeared fine. She had her first vaccination and was as good as gold. The vet decided to leave the chip for a couple weeks, when hopefully she will have put on a little weight. She weighed in at 13 kg. I mentioned to him that she was scratching a lot but he did not think it needed treating at this stage, possibly a result of being running alive with fleas when she was first found.
She is starting to play outside with Pinky and Billy, I am so glad it is a nice day as they can just run in and out whenever they feel like it. She looks very funny when she runs, her legs go everywhere. I am sure this will get better with practice.
More update later - I must tidy up and wash the floors.

I've heard that deafness is more common in animals with blue eyes & white coat - quite common in dalmatians Pleased you got a reasonable nights sleep

I've heard that deafness is more common in animals with blue eyes & white coat - quite common in dalmatians Pleased you got a reasonable nights sleep It's definitely the case with cats: Blue eyed cats are almost always deaf and, if they have one blue, one brown eye, they will almost certainly be deaf in the ear next to the blue eye iyswim. Saffie looks like she has some red merle in her too and red merles have a high deafness rate.
