What a lovely to way to start my day - great news - ooohhh - does that mean I'll get to meet Molly next month if Ed is granted Honourary Hant Houns status for next walk? Oh, and Audrey too of course.

Thank you all so much for your posts I am very excited about Molly finding her Forever Home with me ;D She is SUCH a lovely, gentle soul (unless you're a squirrel!) and I think we will be very happy together The photo at the top of this thread where I am looking so intense and brow-furrowed certainly makes it seem, as Viviane said, as though Molly had it all sorted before I did I do, of course, have to speak with Dilys about her new sister. I don't think young Dils will take too long to adjust and I think she will benefit greatly from having an older, steady and kind big sister around to help guide her through her adolescence ( !!!) Watch this space ... Audrey x

Well I'm sorry to sound cocky but when I took 'that' photograph by Poole Harbour, I knew then it was a done deal. Especially after you looked after her on the last GIN walk. Well done Audrey, having had the pleasure of meeting Molly often I know what a fantastic girl you have got there and didn't Keith & Mollie do a brilliant job, bringing her on like they have. Another 'Casparsdad' masterpiece! Good luck to both of you and look forward to seeing you on the 10th at the next GIN walk. Colin

Thank you all so much You have all been just brilliantly tolerant of my dogless state since I joined the forum after my homecheck by Vaila last December. Until I got Dilys I must have been the longest-running dogless member of SLR, and now young Molly has arrived in my life and will soon be joining the pack here in Surrey ;D I still can't quite believe it but I now have the adoption papers as solid evidence that it IS for real! I realised yesterday that when I pick Molly up on October 10th it will be exactly, to the day, one week short of a year since Willow was PTS. As some of you are aware Willsy's last year was a nightmare of awfulness, with wellness, illness, operations, more operations, hope and finally dashed hope. As a result I so needed that healing space, but I also needed to not lose touch with these lovely hounds during that time. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for respecting and enabling that. Big luffs to each and every one of you Audrey x PS Will be breaking the exciting news of a new sister to Dilys sometime in the next few days. I want to choose my moment carefully and we are staying this weekend with friends at Camber - I think this may give rise to the opportunity. Watch this space ...

I do hope that you will be very careful how you explain the news to Dilys, she is a very sensitive soul.........look what happened when you went away.........all we said was "your Mum is going to be a bit tied up for a few days" I suggest that you speak directly too her and in a clear fashion so that there are no 'misunderstandings'. ;D
