Marcia called me last night to say that Blue has settled in nicely. She's still trying to work out how to put photos on here so I will add one she sent to me this morning for now (don't worry Marcia, it took me ages to work it out too!) Blue on his forever sofa

Well here's todays update on Blue! We had a peaceful night. We gave him the choice of which bed to sleep in, but once he saw Holly going up the stairs he followed! He came into my room and settled in the dog bed there. We went for a nice walk this morning around local country park, so he met lots of people and dogs, and was very well behaved. Home for snoozing, and a game of ball later, plus a play with his new toy. He is now watching John cooking in the kitchen, from the comfort of a bed, and we are trying to persuade Holly that it's safe to be in there with him! Blue is such a lovely dog, and seems to be settling with us well

Nothing to report really, as everything is going well And a big well done to Sue, as Blue has lost 0.55Kg. Blue seems to be settling in well, and even went on a garden hunt with Holly last night at throwing out time, when they both heard rustling in the undergrowth! We went for an early walk to a local country park, forgetting there are scores of rabbits about near the entrance at that time in the morning! Blue was extremely interested as they are very bold rabbits, but once we were past their "patch" he forgot about them and carried on indulging in the new smells. We have just had a game of ball, and he is snoozing again. Everyone we've met thinks he is gorgeous - as do we of course

Blue is still being a sweetheart! Had a nice but tiring walk this morning, a game of football this afternoon and lots of snoozing. We left him and Holly at home on their own for an hour this morning and all seemed well. Yesterday Holly had to teach him how to negotiate swing gates. Blue had a very interesting siting of a Muntjac deer, and a very friendly Hare who insisted on heading straight for us. But it all made for a very exciting walk. More photos over the weekend!

Well what can I say - he is a smashing boy and is lying next to me on the settee as I type this. He is very gentle, and he and Holly get on very well. He makes us laugh with his antics, he's sometimes he is like a bull in a china shop, loves his walks, playing ball and football, and he has two soft toys that he adores and can often be found throwing in the air by himself. Haven't managed to get any photos of that yet! But his favourite way to spend the day is sleeping, once all the exercise is out of the way - and why not? He is a Whippet after all. Anyway thank you SLR for taking Blue in, and to Jenny for thinking he would be a match for us. He certainly is that! We still miss Tigger, (our previous Whippet cross) every single day, but I am certain that he and Blue would have been firm friends as their characters are so similar. Anyway enough of the rabbiting on, and here are some photos Marcia
