Some lovely photos there Sue. He is such a handsome boy I hope you aren't changing your mind about letting us have him!! Saturday still seems a long way away... And I still think he has lost weight despite what the vets scales say.

I hope you aren't changing your mind about letting us have him!! I would never do that to anyone! Funny, you think that you can't "love" anymore than you do but with Blue (and Joe) I seem to have a "love reserve" that I didn't know I had. As a foster mum I adore them (both) and want to protect them, I am a right softie but please don't tell anyone!

And you have no need to worry as far as Blue is concerned - he will be so very loved, and kept safe. My lips are sealed and I will tell no-one what a very big softie you are!

I have noticed quite a change with Blue over the past 24 hours - all for the better He's even more laid back than before. Before, he was always popping out for a wee and he was drinking alot but now he doesn't go out that much more than my two do. Initially he did drink and pee more and that was due to the stress of his move plus infection but I also think he got himself into a habit of going out alot too, and that seems to have died down. I also reckon his medical intervention has helped. He was given Tardak last week (this is used for chemical castration) - and was to reduce his prostrate a bit (even though it was not anything to worry about the vet though this may assist). I am sure that once Blue is fully neutered this will help too. Also, his change of diet had really helped his bowels. Again, he wanted to go and did go many times a day when we first got him and would often go outside and try even though he had been several times! Now that the nastiness of Bakers has been purged from his system he's going what I would see as "normally" and not panicking to get out to patio. Blue prefers to go in garden ( on grass) and not on patio - this may be what he's been used to. Little devil also loves to pee up certain shrubs he has designated as his peeing post! Food wise - he's eating up the small amounts he is being given and he has got a tiny bit quicker at eating, he still looks to see where the others are but does not look stressed as my two just leave the room when they are done. We had to smile last night. Blue had decided he wanted the bed that Robbie usually goes into during the evening. Robbie did not wants Blue's bed! Robbie kept coming in and looking at me as if asking for me to help him, a sort of "what shall I do Mum?" look. After about 10 minutes and much pacing the Robster realised it was Blue's bed or on the rug or nothing, so off he trotted and settled down. Robbie has once again placed himself at the bottom of the pack, it's where he is happy being, bless him. I took a chance with my bad foot today and managed to get my trainers on (first time since Saturday when I fell) - managed all three on the walk instead of doing one at a time and hobbling along!! We had a lovely walk and managed to avoid the rain. Blue walks perfectly, up front, side by side with Missy, two peas in a pod albiet different colours! Robbie always walks behind! "Blue Boy" (as we call him around the house) has been the most perfect of guests.

He is really coming along well in your care Sue. His toileting sounds much better and it's lovely that he's so much more relaxed. You have done an amazing job with him, and he sounds like a even more of a little angel!

Blue Boy never barks but last night he was certain he could hear something outside, jumped up, barked and run into garden to check, he was closely followed by Missy. Russ reckons he could hear one of our neighbours out front of the house. Looks like you will have a bit of a guard dog there Marcia, not a bad thing at all! Last night, to bulk up his small meal I added one carrot chopped into smallish pieces to his Burns and dog gravy. He did refuse carrot previously but ate it all up this time. Off for our walk now, bit later than usual so I have eyes looking at me and asking nicely! I will have him ready for your arrival tomorrow Marcia, all pristine and cuddly and always.

Holly will love to have a partner in crime to bark at unexpected noises with her! As you say, the occasional bark like that is no bad thing and we've never stopped any of ours being vocal like that. But we do draw the line at incessant and excessive barking! Tigger loved carrot, but Holly used to eat it under sufferance , but she soon learned that it wasn't too bad and now waits for her daily portion. So I'm glad Blue ate his - it's good for them. I hope you've had a nice walk, and managed to miss any heavy showers, and not get blown over by the wind, as it's still very gusty up here! Thank you Sue. We can't wait for tomorrow - we are all very excited. So much better than Christmas!

This is lovely - brilliant updates from Sue. We've really enjoyed keeping up with you all and have all our paws and fingers crossed for tomorrow - we're sure it'll be wonderful. And he definitely looks thinner in the photos! Big licks and tail-wagginess. F and hounds x

Well, Blue has just had his last evening meal with us. As a treat I gave him a bit of Tuna in Spring Water on his dry Burns instead of the Butchers - he LOVED it!!!! In fact, he loved it so much he ate his meal almost as quickly as Robbie. He also had a slice of apple today as a treat and he's learned to love that too! So, little Blue Boy is leaving us in the morning, off to a new home with his doggie sister (min Dasc) Holly. I know he will be much loved and looked after and have the very best of everything but he takes a huge chunk of my heart with him. We are so lucky to have contact with the lovliest of hounds in SLR aren't we xxxxxxxxxxxx Added later!: he also just ate some raw brocolli stalk

Well Blue will like it here then as Tuna (again in spring water, not brine or oil) always goes down a treat with Holly, and we eat a lot of it as a family. Holly is just finishing off a carrot chunk as I type, and enjoys apple too, but does turn her nose up at green veg (well she can't let the side down and be too healthy!) The rest of the family have gone off to do the shopping tonight so the weekend is totally free for all of us to enjoy Blue's company, and help him feel at home.

Awww, lovely updates Sue. Bless Robbie. Our Max is a bit like that, but it does make life a bit easier when welcoming unknown dogs in to the pack. Good luck for tomorrow. Hope it goes well. Big hugs.

Blue has left the building. Oh Gawd, that was hard , saying farewell is never easy, even when they are going to such good homes but as Blue was about to leave both Missy and Robbie came over and sniffed his face as if to say goodbye. A few photo of his last morning here: With Missy & Robbie on patio: Waiting for his new Mum & Dad to arrive: My last snuggle with Blue: A couple in the garden: Finally, with new Mum and Dad, Marcia & John: Be happy little man with your lovely new family, doggie sister Holly and hooman sister Meg. We look forward to reading all about you life from now on and seeing pictures of you as the weight comes off!

Just a quickie to let Sue and everyone know we got home safely! Blue was very stressed in the car bless him, but once we got home he was greeted by a very happy Holly who couldn't stop wagging her tail! Blue then explored the garden, before the rain came, did what he needed to do, and then came in to explore the house. The puffing and panting eased off as soon as Holly said hello which was great. He has had a few brief dog naps (I can't possibly say cat naps!), but everything is too interesting to sleep for long, and I think he is just finding his paws. He and Holly seem to be hitting it off well, and I think Blue knows who's boss already. If he sniffs her bottom she just gives him "a look", and he wags his tail and backs away. So all in all a good start to the first day of our new lives. Thank you from all of us to Sue for doing a wonderful job with Blue (and Russ too!). And also thank you to Jenny for thinking of us when you heard about Blue. And thank you to Jean for home checking us so quickly. He is just having a snooze on the rug as I type. No photos as yet - we want to give him a chance to suss everything out here first. Thank you everyone again. Blue is lovely x
