...it's very humbling isn't it? She must have such a strong spirit, poor little mite.

I keep coming back to look at her photos. She does have such melting eyes Jenny. Bet she loved her biscuits in bed this morning.

She is a total dream. She is definitely housetrained, and only had one accident in our bedroom on Thursday night. Ruby isn't sure about co-ordination. I think it must be harder with a front leg removed, but she is coping really well with the flooring. I rang the Vets this morning as she is building up fluid in the chest cavity, so I have put her back on Flexicam, an anti-inflammatory. She is booked in for a check-up with Anil on Tuesday with Jsssie. All our dogs have been absolutely amazing with her. I think they have now become accustomed to new dogs coming in. Ruby is stilll on 3 meals a day until her bodyweight gets up a bit. I don't want to build her up too quickly, as she needs to develop muscle tone on her front leg. She has a nasty injury to her good leg and toe and that needs sorting before she gets too much heavier. She has fitted in so well, and has had such good sleeps. We are keeping her Vet saviours up to speed on her improvements. She can shift when she wants to get back to the house

glad to hear Ruby is doing well, hope the vet check on Tuesday will go well for both Ruby and Jessie, hope the fluid build up in her chest won't cause any problems and her front leg will heal and improve too, poor little girl with so many problems to cope with it is incredible how animals have this inner strength to carry on and still be forgiving and happy , if it was us humans we would be moaning and complaining about it all but it is just really amazing how much animals can cope with and how strong they are especially mentally lots of healing thoughts to Ruby

She had a bit of a rough night last night. She decided to lay on her amputated side and stretched her staples, so was crying out. We had to lift her on her blanked off of her bed and make her get up and lay on the other side. Much better. She still has fluid build-up but perking up today.

Just a little cry when she initial settled down. She has a camp bed with double sleeping bag on it for comfort. She was a good girl and was caught short in the night, but used the drynight we had put by the bedroom door, dead in the middle. Jessie asked Daddy to go out for a wee at 6.15. a.m. I think we have cracked the house training with Jessie now ;D
