Ruby came into us tonight. We picked her up at 7 p.m. to save her from being alone at Easter. She is an adorable girlie, probably around 16-20 months old. Speaking the Vets tonight they are sure that she was the victim of a road traffic accident, which had dragged her a little way before she was left behind. She has a head trauma which is recovering, and scabbing over nicely, had her right front leg amputated because by the time that she came in she had muscle and ligament damage beyond repair. She has leg traumas to the good left leg from the toe, an open wound, front leg, a wound and grazing of skin and a piercing of her chest. Ruby has the sweetest of natures, and unsure of us at first she came with us and slept in the car on the way home. No travel sickness and no dribbling of any sort, so a good traveller. She met the gang here, who were so gentle and quiet with her and have accepted her easily. Tag is a bit bemused by her state, but she is doing well. Mims has given up her bed in the kitchen to Ruby. Ruby is at the mo just having a snooze in the kitchen after having gone outside to have a wee and a poo. (wonderful ) She weighs in at 16 kilos, has a lot of staples in her, but she will get there. She is not phased by having 7 other dogs as company, in fact she wagged at each of them. More tomorrow, but I need to go find some dinner for us now. A few piccies of lovely Ruby. She's a tiny 23" at the shoulder, and beautiful.

She is lovely Jenny and your are a saint for having two poorly hounds over Easter. Your hounds are a stars as well for how good they are with all the comings and going with different dogs. Bless them and you Jenny and of course the man of the house Micheal. Ruby was lucky girl to get over that nasty traffic accident, and now due to SLR she can have the treatment she now needs.

I can't believe that Ruby is standing eating her food + going out for a wee and a poo and wagging her tail after all that she has been through Totally amazing! As for your pack Jenny, they are just stunningly respectful You and Michael seriously deserve sainthoods, just how much more loving to vulnerable beings could anyone be? I do hope that you all get a good night's sleep tonight x

Tears being wiped away from my face here , what a complete darling she is . Like others have commented it's hard to believe she has just had such major surgery and is stood there wagging her tail, doing her business outside and eating. What a complete and utter poppet . xx

She is an absolute star. Not a peep out of her all night. She slept next to Jess, who still doesn't want any dinner!, and she was carried down at 6 a.m. for a wee, and performed straight away. Back up to bed where we laid in til 9 a.m. Tea and biccies in bed, a packet of rich tea doesn't go far in this house now!!! She is so petitie, and so affectionate. And very beautiful. The dapple effect on both her face and down her legs are just enchanting. And her eyes, just to die for.

she's only just smaller than my 2 i am thinking hard about offering this one a home but my 2 are so good as a pack hardly ever a cross word jasper loves his space dizzy gives him that dizzy loves her cuddles she demands we give her that. jasper knows dizzy is the more dominant dog but he's so laid back he doesn't care and she is just as laid back. I wouldn't want to upset the balance. my 2 are 6 so maybe a youngster would be too much for them neither of them like dogs being too full on. and i'm working again tho not too many hours i wish i was close enough to foster this one.

Gillian, you are lovely. But she really needs someone around who works part-time, around 4 hours max. Keith, don't worry, the next one is yours. She is fine here. I am sure she will be snapped up in no time once she goes on the website.
