Absolutely beautiful, loving and child friendly. Scared of other dogs at the mo. Saffie is approximately 18 months to 2 years old. Picked up as a stray, she is a little on the thin side at 16.8 kilos but we are sure that her foster mum Donna will sort that out. What can I say, she is stunning, gentle, travels well, not peed or pood in the house but waited til she was outside. Her wounds have healed nicely from some sort of cut to her leg joint. The pictures speak for themselves. We are giving foster mum some time before she will be offered up for adoption.

She is a beauty inside and out so far but I would like to lodge a complaint. I reckon she's a Saluki Whippet X which means, of course, as we've all learned recently, that she is not a Lurcher, she is a Long-dog I suspect that, at some time in her past, she has been a very cherished pet who has landed on hard times She's completely familiar with all things domestic but all her mannerisms suggest a street dog We had a lovely incident with her this morning: We popped her in her crate while we went next door for about 15 mins, mainly because we didn't know if she was houseclean and didn't want to come back to any accidents When we came back, she had undone all three 'locks' on the crate, taken herself off out to the back yard, had a wee and a poo and then come back in and laid down by the door we went out I think she's answered the houseclean question Here are some piccies I managed to get today ......... Waiting for Bigdog to come back in (she's deffo' a bit of a Daddy's girl ) That nasty wound on her leg "I think I might quite like this hotel" She would like to reassure Uncle Barney that he is not the only one who puts collars on upside down And, finally, the coupe de gras, for Flookie fans everywhere, the PDSS ;D

how does she get on with Judy? That's the only hiccup that we face with her Jeanette. Judy's been very friendly with her, almost unusually so as Judy normally only gets on with the boys but, Saffie is very scared at the moment and grumbles every time Judy gets near her It's obviously fear based and she hasn't folowed through but she will need some help to gain confidence So as a responsble SLR member it's your duty to bring Max over for a cup of tea, to help socialise Saffie

I think she is a gorgeous girl and what the collar is concerned I think she's wearing it the right way (if you are standing IN FRONT OF her). Only if you stand BEHIND HER the collar appears to be upside down. So, how about putting TWO collars onto Saffie's neck then........ It should keep everybody happy ........ ;D ;D ;D and settle this (friendly) argument. ;D ;D ;D Viviane. X

I so want to see this beautiful Flookie in the fur. She is stunning. I so hope she doesn't stay afraid of Judy for too long, but it is great that Judy likes her ;D

Our local pet supplies were holding a bit of a show today so we took both girlies along. We can safely say that Saffie has very low prey drive (perhaps that's why she was in the pound ). She didn't even sniff the ferrets that were running around her feet unlike Judy who dribbled all over them However, her ability to spot an open crisp packet yards away is quite remarkable She did growl at several dogs who approached her rear end but never followed through When we got home Saffie had a very hesitant attempt at playing with us and we discovered that she might be a budding footballer What is it about whippies and footballs She's also eating more confidently and even showed signs of getting excited at dinner time ;D So she should be back to a healthy weight very soon All in all a lovely day with lovely dogs
