Hi all A few weeks on now and we thought we would let you know how the shy retiring Saffie was getting on - SHES FAB! - and she is not so shy and retiring now! She is really coming out of herself, almost getting adventurous. She has met the 4 other dogs in the family and has agreed to share everything with them, she has been on walks with them and run with them - happy puppy! We had about 15 people and 3 dogs in the house this week for a birthday, and far from running away she curled up in the middle of everyone - no fuss - she was brilliant. Needless to say she has managed to find the sofa and beds, so we managed to keep the rules for about 3 weeks She loves a game of football and has had great fun killing a beach ball as you will see below. Not much else to add other than this is one loved puppy. We look forward to joining one of the walks soon Regards The Chard Crew

Well daughter number 2 was feeling poorly in the week and as you know there is no better medicine than a cuddle from a puppy. Been a bad puppy this week, dug for England in the space of about an hour, as fast as i filled the holes up she excavated - was quite funny really but dont tell her as i was trying to be ascertive. She is now off lead most days and has been great, making lots of friends on the way. Here's a reference to how soft she is, she chased a squirrel in the woods today, got very close, but then didnt know what to do so pulled up and watched - bless her little cotton socks. Still a bit fussy on the food, she is eating enough but struggling to get her weight up, another kg would be nice. She is slowly improving which is the main thing. Will be going to the Discovery Dogs so will come see everyone and put some faces to names. Meantime maybe see you on a dog walk if one comes up this direction. Rgds to all The Chard Crew

Thats one cute'sy picture! A good call me thinks She's looking lovely guys, and great to hear that she is off lead most of the time now, just how a lurcher should be ;D Weight will probably be down to 'The Saluki Gene' and they do tend to be a bit on the skinny side. What are you feeding her at the mo? and how often? as it might just take a slight change in diet. Anyroad, keep up the good work and more piccys please Cheers Mark

Ok so its Saffie Hattie today, poor little thing. Today was THE VET DAY !!! You know what this means. Gladly our baby is back home again and currently fashions the gormless look, you know the one where they look through you rather than at you, whilst the white eye lids creep in. Bless her. I'd like to know how on earth you are supposed to keep a boingy puppy from walking or boinging for 10 days. No chance. Now little Saffie is a sensitive little thing and she keeps getting spooked by the crash helmet. Its like it jumped out at her when she wasn't looking. Lots of cuddles for her, sure she will be back to her nutty self soon. Some loving form all will help i am sure. Rgds The Chard Crew

Chilli was spayed a week ago, so I know what you mean about keeping quiet and on lead only!! I modified her head gear so it's the same length but narrower so she scoops less up with her as she goes, the ones they give them are wide enough for st. bernards !! hope she is back to normal soon.

Oh bless her - she still looks fabulous even when she's feeling sorry for herself We've found a light weight pair of Pjs and one of these www.comfycollars.co.uk/ a good combo for keeping flookies off their stitches (and believe me Judy's had some stitches in her time)
