She is coming on a treat. Looking forward to meeting her at the fun day. I would love Rowlf to get on with her but I doubt that will happen.

She'll probably give as good as she gets Heather. She is still learning about dogs on leads and can woof for England. Look forward to seeing you, even if we have to stand 100 yards away and shout ! Xx

I'll give her a brush before then....Steve calls her his little Gonk ( that dates us!) . I prefer to think she is Punk inspired...

Lovely photo of Maisie post-bath! What a transformation from the emaciated hound I helped transport away from her concrete bunker. You have worked miracles with this lovely girl Brenda GONKS!!! Instant flashback! I had a gonk - used to spend ages combing its hair!!! Where do all these memories get stored when I don't have the brain capacity to remember what I went upstairs for?!

Maisie goes for her girly op tomorrow and Walter will x-Ray her foot to get a clearer idea of what happened and what, if any, ongoing treatment she may need. This is another important milestone in her young life, where she can move on from a life of coal bunkers and puppies and continue to have fun and security for the rest of her life. A few magic SLR vibes would be much appreciated xx

Every possibly positive vibe is winging it's way in Maisie's direction I do hope the GA and op go smoothly and that the x-rays will help find the best way forward with Maisie's foot Also sending hugest hugs for you for tomorrow Brenda, it's just awful letting them go and then waiting for the 'phone to go

She's home! Her op went well and she is sleepy and a bit whingey but fine and Socks is sitting nearby looking concerned but happy to have her back. We looked at the X-ray they took when we went to pick her up and the news is positive. There's no sign of a previous break, the bone is a bit 'lumpy' where she has obviously had some sort of knock but that's about it. It will need monitoring in case there is any change in the future and probably will be arthritic with age but apart from that nothing to worry about at this stage. I'm back in a couple of days for the nurse to check her progress but it's onwards and upwards for this little one. Thanks so much for the vibes, those, along with coffee and cake down on the beach this morning kept us from chewing our fingers, and my kitchen hasn't been as clean as I gave it the once over while waiting to ring the vet after lunch! Two weeks of lead-only walks for Her Ladyship now.....
