Little Ripley was the last of the litter, but a home just could not be found for him. Rather than settle for second best the family have asked that he re-home Ripley through the Rescue. He is totally gorgeous. Confused at the moment and needing some stability. Ripley is 14 weeks old. Ripley will be making his way to Essex tomorow for fostering.

I just went round to Keith to give him my £2 for this Sunday's GIN walk (that I can't go on ) and was greeted at the door by RIPLEY. I tell you what chaps & chappess's If I had a wife to help me look after him (can't really manage a 14 week old on my own. as they have to be accompanied 24/7) You lot would not stand a chance he would have been moved 100yards round the corner from Keith's house to mine. He is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I was greeted with lots of wags, kisses, Standing on back legs to lick my ear etc. He is an absolute little cracker. He won't last 5 minutes before he gets his own sofa. Christina, go and grab him as he goes eastwards ;D

I collected Ripley from Dorchester last night, and he "vocalised" almost all the way home. I'm glad that was only half an hour! Caspar was not particularly welcoming to this "young interloper", who did rather rush up to him like a puppy will, but Caspar said"Geroff", whereupon Ripley cried out as if savaged, but that was the acknowledgement Caspar was after, and then Ripley kept a respectful distance! Jane had told me to cover his crate at night, so we did, and after a few whimpers he quickly fell asleep, until he heard me go to the loo at 6am - very good. Who could resist a face like that? It is quite a job entertaining a pup who can't go out for tiring walks yet, so we played with everything in the toy box,and filled bone was quite popular But the darned things keep sliding away! This morning we played chase the ball in the garden, amongst other things, and that did tire him out for a few moments When it was time for the transport run I thought he might settle in the crate this time....Wrong! He howled and talked on and off for 25 minutes, until I pulled into a layby and covered the crate over with a blanket. After a couple more grumbles he then fell asleep/was quiet all the rest of the way. Audrey had just arrived at Farnham for the handover...I hope he was quiet for her.....? In the short time we had him he did wees and poos outside everytime, with no problems in the crate or house. Pups sure take a lot of entertaining though. don't they?

And there's me thinking, "If only I had a husband to help me look after him then Ripley would never have made it to Donna and Mark's" Hmmmmmmmm Dogmad now THERE'S a thought!!! Well, dragging my mind away from proposals of marriage ... as Keith said I met him at Farnham and, after a leg-stretch and pee (Ripley, not Keith!) we loaded Ripley into the back of my car. Keith had told me about the 'singing' en route but I have no crate to cover with a blanket, so when the racket started I put on a CD of Beth Neilsen Chapman and sang along to it. Within a couple of minutes young Rippers, clearly deciding that he was being out-howled, curled up and went to sleep Got him safely to Donna and Mark's place where Mark took over the transport and Donna and I had a cuppa with lots of Flookie cuddles - what an way to spend an hour! (Thanks for cuppa and for loaned Flookies Donna) ;D Ripley is an absolutely lovely boy. Confident but not over pushy and SO friendly. Doesn't seem phased by anything much and clearly loves people to pieces. He and Dilys could be peas from the same pod and I think would play very well together. Thank goodness Dilys didn't come with me or I would never have been allowed to hand Ripley over Whoever gets this boy will be getting a gem - just be prepared for full-on PUPPY for a while yet! Ripley at Donna and Mark's Dilys looking like a pea in a pod back at home

He's here. After a horrendous M.25 journey, cross country journey and then phoning Richard for support I finally rejoined the M.25 fo the last leg only to find that the M.11 had slowed up!!! I phoned the vets and said expect me when you see me. I arrived at the vets at 5.35 pmm. No lunch, and poor Ripley was a star on the way. Cried for the first few minutes, but Ronnie got fed up with that. I stopped and put Ronnie in the front and then Ripley went to sleep. I didn't have to sing. Thank dog. I would have scared them. Everything fine here. Mr. Tag loves pups and has taken him under his wing. We have put the crate up and he has had two meals so far. He is not having a treat in the crate familiarizing him ready for bed. Just hope that all get some sleep tonight. I might have to put Tag in with him Thank you so much Keith the the long run, and Audrey for saving Mark for another long run. I hate the M.25 with a passion I have some photos and will post some tomorrow. We need to eat. xxx

We had a good night. Just covered him up in his crate and after a low howl and a few woofs he went to sleep. That was around 11.30 p.m. Unfortunately Milo rarely goes through the night and wanted a pee at 3 a.m. The route to the front garden is past the hallway and Ripley heard Milo clip clopping past with Michael. So he then had to have a wee and it was another 10 minutes before we could go back to sleep. We don't go back to the fosters once we leave them. Ripley went back to sleep until 6.15 a.m. I came downstairs and gave him some puppy food and burns and then laid on the sofa with him whilst he fell asleep on the dog bed next to the sofa. I dearly wanted to have him on the sofa and cuddle him but didn't want to set a precedent. Then at 9.50 a.m. Michael and the gang came downstairs. Playing commenced, running in and out to the garden and the girls all put little Ripley in his place. No harm done, but the pecking order has been established. I think Ronnie is still at the bottom Will post piccies after I have fed doglets here. He's a poppet, a very level little lad who learns quickly and reads other dog's moods well.

What an amazing team ! So much hard work....bless the gorgeous Ripley.... Im sure my Ed must have looked a lot like him at that age, down to the white chest patch. Ed is definitely my No. 1 heart throb (as I have a thing for older men!) but Ripley is certainly a close 2nd ! Well done all and kisses to the vocally talented Mr. Ripley xx

He's been here under 24 hours and it's like he has always been here. A good little boy, almost house trained, and just left one little wee in his crate overnight. He likes to be near Ronnie and Tag and is a real little work stopper, hence not getting on the forum. Ripley weighed in at a good 11.2 kilos yesterday and was given a clean bill of health. He had his vax and microchip like very bravely without a whimper. Just a few photos and a video if it loads, but photobucket is on go slow for me today. Waiting for dinner. Which one's mine Jenny Is it this one? No Ripley, that's Mims. Just wait a mo All this waiting is tiring We DON'T allow our dogs on the sofas. But Michael forgets. Best buddies Walkies, I said, come on walkies. Who's coming then. Come on Esme It's alright I've got Tag. Just got to get my toy as well Sofi hasn't got a lead mum Playtime. Video. Just click on the piccie.

We had two nights where Ripley was woken up by Mims jumping off the bed or Milo wanting to go out midway through the night for a wee, so last night Ripley was put into a ittle bed in the corner of our bedroom. Not a peep. 6.40 a.m. ;D He has a lovely nature. Is a very quiet little boy and is friends with everyone. Ripley watches everything, takes it in and learns quickly. This morning I let him off on our walk and he kept me in view the whole time and when I changed direction and ran he ran after me. Mims doesn't like her tail being chewed though Ripley, so be a good boy and leave it alone. Tonight I let him off pretty much when we left the house and we trotted through the woods with Mims, Sofi, Megan and Esme and then out onto the fields beyond. He said hello our our friendly Ridgeback that we meet and trotted along. Ripley has no baggage, has a lovely nature and is loving. He will cuddle up to all our girlies, including Megan, who protests but he ignores her and she puts up with it. He is lovely. I have been out the front sorting out the garden and not a peep. But he does have the company of 7 other dogs. You have to love this little lad... We do..
