Keith popped in with Ollie for a cuppa a little while ago, & the lad once again displayed his super temperament.
The reason Keith has been in a state of shock over the incident in which Ollie was injured, is that in all his years' involvement with dogs he's never previously personally experienced owt like this, & it's hit him hard, especially since he's so very fond of Ollie.
'Tis to be hoped that the visit to the vets this morning has reassured Keith that Ollie will be fine - we all know how remarkably resilient this type of dog is, & Keith is really happy that Ollie will be going to his best possible forever home.

It must be hard for Keith to let this lovely boy go into his forever home, as nearly all fosters become very much attached to the hounds they are fostering, and Keith is very fond of Ollie........ However, we know that Ollie has finally found his best forever home and we all know he will be loved to bits. This is what SLR is all about: finding a loving home for a hound in need............ It makes it so so worthwhile........... I am sure we will be getting lots of updates on lovely Ollie and will be able to see how he is settling in and progressing, and I am very much looking forward to these......... Viviane. X

Hi Keith, I've just got back from holiday to hear what happened to Ollie, the poor chap, he looks so sore. I hope you're ok, I can guess you must have been in a state of shock. I hope he's making a good recovery. I miss him big time & wish him well in his new home. Bron x

Good luck Ollie, you gorgeous boy! Gilly, I'm so glad you're adopting Ollie, he's not had the best luck in life, and he's such a wonderful dog and deserves the best home possible, and I know you'll give him that. He's changed so much from the sad, quiet dog we first met in April. Please keep us updated with lots and lots of pictures, and we all want to see how he's gettting on. We all miss him loads, and I especially miss my cuddles with him
