Hi all, Well today was the day, one of the best day's of our lives We got to the Fleet Services for midday and found a lovely quiet place to park up next to a nice walk for when Ollie arrived. We had a call from Keith and Brenda, bless them they were stuck in traffic so we had a further 15 mins to wait . Jim went off to get us all coffee's and while he was in the services Keith turned up (poor Jim ) In meeting Ollie for the first time I couldn't get over how even more handsome he is in the flesh ;D Keith got him out of the car and then Jim returned. Ollie gave us lots of waggles and was very chilled out, he had some water and then spent his time watching the wooded area (we think he saw a squirrel ) We then went for a nice walk to the picnic area to complete the paperwork and Ollie then confidently walked off with us, leaving Keith and Brenda time to prepare for the sadness and tears Thanks for everything Keith, you have been so good for Ollie We drove straight off before Keith got back to his car so it didn't confuse Ollie, he slept all the way to the Winchester Services where we stopped for a wee wee break and a naughty Burger King (Ollie loved his chipy's ;D ) On arriving home we introduced Ollie to Sammy first outside our home, then we brought the Jack Russell's out, bless Roxy I think she was confused that she was seeing double They all then went for a walk around the block before returning home (forever home), Ollie had a good pee all around the garden and then investigated his new home. So far they all have totally chilled out together and as I type they are all fast asleep on the sofa/dog beds. Here are some (lots ) pic's from the day and we will continue to post Ollie's updates and pic's for you all the see. A very proud Keith and Brenda Ollie soon jumped into the back of our Disco for a sleep Proudly showing the Burns bag Traveling home At home ;D Ollie's tablet time Ollie investigating the outside rest kennel Sammy totally chilled out with his new arrival Ollie soon found the swing seat Ollie meeting his Auntie Mandy Our family shot Mummy cuddles Time to rest Ollie His new sister Daisy His new sister Roxy We are so proud of our hound family. Thank you so much SLR for making our family complete. Love Gilly & Jim x Sammy, Ollie, Daisy and Roxy

so glad to see this. I remember the time I brought Bonnie home - MAGIC - until I fostered I didn't know how the foster person felt. However, as you know all checks have been made and once you see the first pics you are just glad you helped them on their way to the forever home - sofa etc. I know how you feel Keith and Brenda you have done a super job. I also know Gilly and co will do a super job. Lots of pics please. Love and thanks to everyone for being SLR

LOL, a bin raider is he ;D Ollie had a lovely restful nights sleep in this bed along side ours. He ate his breakfast (the boy loves his scrambled eggs) after a lovely walk to show him his new playing field, he met some new friends a flat coated retriever (Digby) and a GSD (Jess), I was wondering how he was going to be with a GSD but he was fine and very waggly, and finally a grumpy old Scottie called Suzie While all the dogs were playing me and Ollie had a lay down on the grass and just watched He will have plenty of time for playing and running when he is fully healed. Ollie has a vets appointment tomorrow for my vet to look at the wound going forward. Ollie has settled so well and it's as through he has always been a part of the family, Sammy and the girls love him already As I type he is having a lovely sleep by the log fire (I think he is hoping that it will be lit ;D ) . More pic's to follow. Gilly x

Many thanks for the update Gilly - we're so pleased that you're all finally united, & that the SLR dog/family matching process seems to have come up trumps again.
I do believe that 'tis highly appropriate to move Ollie's thread to Happy Endings.
