I must just say if Ollie gets to Gilly he will be in the right hands - seeing what they have done with Sammy, So sorry this has happened just when he was ready to slip into his forever home. Joy

Thank you for sparing a thought for Keith folks: the poor bloke was obviously very distressed about the whole matter when he collected Ollie from me yesterday evening - he cares a great deal for the lad.
Ollie himself was fine, & showed his pleasure when his Uncle Keith arrived, (mebbe he knew that chicken was on the menu later!).

Don't beat yourself up about it Keith. It could happen to any of us fostering. I think it might be best to just let the air get to the wound, as the scarf might rub a bit. Go see Uncle Barney and share some dark stuff. p.s. I am not sure Gilly can wait for recovery. I think she wants to get in the car yesterday.

Keith, Please, please, please, please do not blame yourself. We have all been in that very same situation before and when someone gives you the OK to let your dogs out of the car then you can only trust that he could control his dog! Please focus on yourself and Ollie, as I said to you in the email earlier today if the vet thinks it is best to wait until next weekend then that is what has to happen for Ollie. I have spoken to my vet today and made him aware of the situation and he wanted to reassure you all that he will see Ollie as soon as he comes down here so that he can monitor the recovery of the wound. I would agree with Jenny, I think it is best to let the air get to the wound, is it that he is licking it? I think some of the dark stuff is in order Keith It's all over now and the important thing is that you were not hurt, our Ollie is going to be just fine Gilly x

I've only just read this. What a shock. Hope Ollie soon makes a full recovery and Gilly doesn't burst with the excitement of his imminent arrival in the meantime!

Had a chat with Keith earlier, Ollie went to the vet today for a check up and the vets is happy with his recovery but has put him on anti-b's for a few days Keith made me laugh as we had a chat the other night and Keith guessed Ollie's weight to be about 22kg, WELL when he was weighed today Keith was shocked to see that he's 27kg ;D Sending you healing, hugs and kisses my little angel Gilly x

You do know Keith is dyslexic don't you Gilly. He probably reads the feeding guide as 72 instead of 27!!!! Love you Keith... You have promised lots of walks Gilly,so he should get back into trim shape pretty soon. keith loves to spoil the dogs in his care.
