Lilypup arrived today. After a long transport run, she is crashed out on the nice cold floor with the rest of the Symmons gang.
Lilypup was found wandering down in Sussex. A very kind lady, Sam, took her in from the dog warden as she was in a quite scared state. Unfortunately Lily is NOT cat friendly, has probably been tried at working, as she does have fantastic muscle tone, and found the cats far too interesting.
Sam contacted us after having persevered for two weeks with Lily and her cats, but one of the cats has moved out of the house and refuses to come back. This has caused Sam to re-evaluate the future and the stress of Lily and the cats.
Sam asked us to take her in as she also didn't want Lily to go into kennels.
From having had Lilypup here now for two hours, I can say that she is other dog friendly, even waggy and a tart with the boys.
She is quite laid back, likes a cuddle and is very obedient.
She sits to command and goes away when there is food at the table.
She counter surfs for bits and can life a roll top bin lid on top of a fridge
She is cute, cheeky, small (around 23/24 inches) and slight.
Her makeup has some collie whippet in it and probably some saluki whippet as well.
She is vaccinated and micro chipped and anyone adopting will have to sign a neutering agreement.
Age - dated by the vet at between 6/7 months because of her fluffy coat is still coming out, but we think a little older, perhaps 8/9 months.
Sam says that Lilypup is child friendly, greet all news dogs with a wag and is good on lead. She is good to be left and was left the free run of the downstairs.
Lilypup will be looking for a home with someone around most of the time, perhaps part-time. As an only dog or with another dog for company.
She is a happy little girlie. Well done Sam for giving her a chance and for contacting us. And thank you for transporting her a good way this morning to Julie.
Here are a couple of photos of Lilypup after arrival. When it gets cooler I will take some in the garden.
And just checking that she isn't another pesky male!
