Many thanks for carrying out the home visit that will result in Moss being collected by his new Mum & Dad today Sioux.
Moss will be staying in Essex, so won't be a new recruit for the Kent Contingent, or the Sussex Brigade. ;D

I've spoken to Aran now and he will come straight from work tonight to come and collect Moss around 6pm from you. Hope thats ok. ;D
I might go and tell all my friends on the GW forum now that everything is all arranged and in concrete. I'm rubbish at keeping secrets and have been bursting to tell everyone.

The Moss has landed!
Aran turned up with Moss about 7:30pm. Apparently he was very good in the car, no bother at all. I kept Lucy upstairs while Aran led Moss out into the garden for a sniff about and a wee and then back in the house to have a look about and a drink. Lucy and Moss sniffed each other and wagged tails before tearing around the garden playing rough and tumble. After a little lay down and more drinking we took them both for a long walk. We saw a cat on the walk and to be honest Moss isn't any worse than Lucy to deal with. They both do the same thing really, just Moss is a little bit stronger on the lead. When we got back Lucy laid on the sofa for a snooze and Moss dived down the toy box and found a ball to play with by himself which was quite amusing. 10 minutes later and they were both charging around the garden playing more games. We've had our dinner and Moss didn't pester us, he laid down very nicely and then went to sleep. They've both had a crunchy stick ... which we've found they will both sit to command for (must get a picture of that). There's been no nastiness between the dogs, both have been wagging their tails and now Lucy is alseep all over the 3 seater sofa and Moss is snuggled up asleep next to Aran with his head on his lap. Peace reigns. ;D
Let's see what the night holds for us.

Many thanks for the update Kelly - so pleased that all has gone well thus far.
Sorry I couldn't post the news of his departure to his forever home yesterday evening, thanks to coffee being spilled on my keyboard, (but at least it wasn't falling-down fruitjuice that was wasted! ).
'Twas a delight to see the enthusiastic way that Moss greeted his Dad. I hope Aran has recovered from the friendly mauling he received, since I'm sure there will be plenty more to come in future! ;D
Thank you for offering the lovely lad such a super home - we wish you all many years of shared happiness.

I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of updates from me, like it or not. Glad to see your PC is back up and running so you can read this next update Barney. Last night I let the dogs out into the garden at 11:30pm Moss did a wee can came straight back in, Lucy did hers and then stood about sniffing the air as usual, watching the stars, taking her own sweet time. Both settled down to bed without fuss and we weren't woken once throughout the night. Lucy got up at 5:30am which disturbed Moss, so I thought I should probably let him out for a wee just in case. I didn't see the point of going back to bed, so I got up and dressed. Had my breakfast and Moss didn't really pester me at all after an initial firm 'No'. Then I fed the dogs. They ate together, no growling at all, another quiet 15 - 20 minutes of snooze time for them both and then they went in the garden for some mad Lurcher/Greyhound games. As soon as my pictures and video have loaded I will post them. Just waiting for Photobucket to do it's thing. Moss is a right tart I'm afraid. You barey start stroking him and he is on his back, legs in the air. I've found a sweet spot on his chest which makes his back leg go ;D. So all in all, I think it's going really well so far. Moss is the perfect house guest. Lucky really since he is definately staying.

Yayee! Photobucket has woken up and finished loading so here's some video and pics. Playtime this morning (sorry the battery ran out before I could finish catching all the action) After some new batteries I took some pictures after playtime ... Moss is a right photogenic poser, isn't he?! ;D

Thanks Kelly - they do seem to be enjoying each other's company. Everything you've said or pictured mirrors my experience of what the lovely boy was like during his short stay here.

Moss calmed down yesterday after all the inital exctiment of moving in day. He found a spot on the sofa and spent much of the day snoozing, with the odd bit of playing here and there. He likes emptying the toy box all over the floor. I think he must have tried every toy out by now. ;D Took him for two walks yesterday. Aran took him on his own over Watt Tyler for an hour in the morning whilst I took lucy to her obedience class and then agility. Both dogs were shattered in the afternoon. Lots of sleepy time. Then we took them both back out for 35 - 40 minutes in the evening about 6pm ish. They've both had a good night. They got up at 6:30am this morning, so I got a bit more sleep than last night. Both been fed and out in the garden for the morning wees. Now they are both laying on the floor next to me sparko to the world. It's a tough life being a dog, isn't it?! lol Here's a couple of picture of Moss yesterday.

Many thanks for the lovely update & the latest pics. You obviously possess a talent that I'm sadly lacking - i.e. getting Moss to calm down! ;D ;D ;D

I said previously that a picture paints a thousand words and seeing Moss all comfy and relaxed like that is like reading a whole dictionary Now I know why he had to come back to you Barney so that he could find Karen, Aran and Lucy
