He is such a handsome fella'. I think you might need to instigate crowd control procedures to make sure the queue for this guy stays orderly ;D

Moss was a perfect gentleman at the vets, & was pronounced in good nick following his checkup. He winced at bit at his initial vax, but didn't make any fuss, & his tail was wagging the whole time. I told Sue that I put his age at no more than 18 months, & she agreed.
There is no history on this bonny lad at all, other than he was found wandering in Hertfordshire, & served his seven days in the pound before being moved to the holding kennels.
Moss stands around 24" to the shoulder, & there are no scars to indicate that he may have been worked.
I've taken him out twice this afternoon, & both times he behaved very well on the lead.
Moss is getting on well with the resident hounds after initially being a little timid, & he doesn't seem to have a bad bone in his body.
We're told by the holding kennels that he's a bit of an escape artist, so will need keeping an eye on. I wonder if he was sizing up escape routes here:
There's been no indication as yet as to whether he's a countersurfer, but he's definitely a bin raider!
All in all it can safely be said that the rescue has yet another desirable hound under its wing.

Moss is testing out all the dog resting places in the home-kennel, & this is currently his favourite:
I'm just about to remove all the food bowls in preparation for his op tomorrow.

Yep - definitely mainly Saluki - that 'Lady Diana - don't you feel sorry for me' look gives 'em away every time.

There's been no indication as yet as to whether he's a countersurfer, but he's definitely a bin raider!
Please amend that to: There's been no every indication as yet as to whether that he's a countersurfer.

He'd be altogether too perfect if he weren't at least a countersurfer!
What a handsome young man.

What a handsome young man. He is indeed Sam, & very well behaved with it. Please spare him a thought for his vet visit today folks, whence he'll return weighing just a tad less.

What a handsome young man, Barney, he looks like Bailey's mirror image who was re-homed last month - could he be his brother? Hope everything goes well for your operation today, Moss. Viviane. X

What a handsome young man, Barney, he looks like Bailey's mirror image who was re-homed last month - could he be his brother? There's certainly a very striking resemblance Viviane, & given that we have absolutely no history on him, who knows if they are indeed siblings?

Now he has wrenched my heart, he is so very similar to my Jake that I lost a few years ago. He has the whole package bless him and you could just melt at those eyes. Will be thinking of you at the vets Moss and there is no need to worry when you are with Uncle Barney

Moss is back here - I was picking up a dog bed from Alicia's when I received a phone call from the vets to ask if I could please come & collect him, as he was creating merry hell in the surgery!
The lad's absolutely fine, very alert, not at all sleepy, & his tail has resumed its windmill imitation state. ;D He's just had his roast chicken, which went down very well, (& extremely quickly!), & he's now taken up residence on the big settee with Sasha.

That's Brill news Barney. So as well as being a counter-surfer, bin-raider and escape artist, I can now add howler and food tart to his list of obvious attributes ;D ;D ;D Definitely a lurcher.
