Wooohooo! You've fessed up at last! I can stop biting my tongue Welcome to the prestigious FFC Fabulous piccies Having seen how so at home little Ivy is with you and seeing how at ease and happy Frankie is with her (you need to man up a bit though Frankie...can't have her always stealing your chews), it was a fait accompli, resistance was futile. Ivy is such a lovely cuddly live wire, it came as no surprise to find her on my head when I visited last weekend. Sure she's part maintain goat, and not so different to a certain ginger strumpet Soooo, you described her as a black and white Phoebe.......good luck!

I am so pleased you decided to keep her as she looks absolutely gorgeous. Tony and I did a lot of soul searching and finally gave ourselves a stern talking to as we were so tempted by her. But, having a puppy just wouldn't have been fair on Conor. She is the spitting image of our greyhound Lily whom we lost to cancer 3years ago. Lily came to us a a puppy the same age as Ivy and had the little retrousse nose. Lily ended up being one of the best dogs we've ever had. A beautiful princess and I so hope Ivy turns out that way for you. Btw, Frankie is a stunner👍😀

Hi All, I am so sorry there has been no Ivy update since we adopted her. We didn't realise her thread was still here. So, now we know, and here is the update. Ivy is growing by the day into a gorgeous, friendly naughty, but lovable dog. She is an absolute little madam who thinks she has to eat 24 hours a day, but we love her still. Her and Frankie are inseparable. She has regressed him to the puppyhood he never had, while he keeps her safe, tells when she has been naughty and drags her off the sofa each morning to start the day, when she wants to carry on sleeping. Little Madam is a dreadful thief, as expected, but she tends to eat whatever she steals. Cleaning the garden has thrown up some surprises!!!! Ivy wasn't a fan of the open forest to start with and it took lots of treats and encouragement to get her there and make her walk. She just didn't see the point when she had all she needed at home. It was quite a strain and I thought she was never going to enjoy the great outdoors. Then came the snow!! That changed her whole outlook on life and suddenly she loved the forest. Sinking into snow drifts and crunching on the crispy snow enlivened her. She is still not a fan of water but she can't wait to go out on her walks now and needs no treats to get her out the door. This week has been another milestone, as after lots of recall work in our field she has finally been allowed to run off lead on the forest with the big boy. It is fabulous watching them together, and hilarious as she tries in vain to keep up. He speeds up and slows down to tease her and she snorts and grunts in frustration. She is currently sound asleep on the sofa having just destuffed her newest toy to her satisfaction. Ivy's life is about to change again on Friday as she is booked in to have her "little girl's op". We have booked time off work so we can try and keep her still and calm and stop Frankie from dragging her around by the ears. Wish us luck. We will continue to update. We have some pictures of her in the snow which I hope you enjoy? Playing in the snow On the pond In front of the fire after a hard day on the ice. Togetherness.

Many thanks for a great update on the lovely Ivy's progress. The wee lass is a splendid example of what a Lurcher is all about. Hope all goes well with her op tomorrow & that she bounces(?) back quickly.

Super update. Sounds like Ivy is a typical lurcher pup. So lovely that she and Frankie are bonding so well. All the best for her op on Friday.
