How cute! She looks an absolute poppet 😍 Puppies really thrive with routine so I'm sure she will soon learn what is expected from her. ❤

So, Ivy was an unexpected arrival on Christmas Eve. She has made our Christmas fantastic, even Frankie adores her and is looking after her like a big brother. He gallantly donated his Christmas presents to her which she took great delight in unwrapping herself and playing with the contents. Such an excited little puppy face. The whole day was taken up with play and putting tinsel back on the tree. Her forest walks have been overwhelming and exciting for her. She greets everybody she meets with great enthusiasm and is very happy to chat with the dogs too. She doesn't do weather, though so lots of coaxing to get over or around ice, frost, mud or water. Therefore every walk takes twice as long, not that Frankie minds as it gives him more running time. Although he does keep coming back tp check if she is OK and stands and waits patiently while she negotiates a scary obstacle, like a puddle! Todays walk didn't go to plan as she decided to lay on a damp clump of heather, immediately rolling off it and landing upside down in a muddy puddle. Sorry Sal and Phoebe the beautiful coat you lent her is doing it's best in the washing machine. Little Ivy is a Kilo underweight and has an eye infection but apart from that is perfect. She is always hungry and tries to share the parrots food, which is entertaining the parrot no end! Ivy is very long and it will be no time at all before she can reach onto the kitchen counter! She is already trying, bless her. At night she spends all night cuddled up on the sofa and not a peep is heard from her, with Frankie to keep her company. We have failed in our efforts to get her to 'sit' however, by watching Frankie she is already doing a perfect sit whilst waiting for her food to be prepared. We are hoping she is only going to copy his good habits? What a lovely pup she is, we are so lucky.
So, all these updates are all in one go because it has been a hectic time. So, sorry to bombard you with puppy antics.
This morning I was washing up and heard some tinkering going on. I went to investigate and found puppy standing on the middle of the dining table playing with my crystal bowl of glass sweets!! Little Madam!! Time to put the Christmas things away now I think.
Brave girl had her second vaccination today. Of course the vet fell in love with her. She has started to gain weight, as she is a kilo under at the moment, so heading in the right direction, bless her.
More puppy antics soon and pictures to follow.

Ivy has expensive taste!!!
My wellies had sprung a leak, so I got some money out, which was a Christmas gift, to treat myself to some new ones. I put the money on the table and nipped upstairs for 30 seconds to check on the tortoises who were enjoying their bath. I ran back down to find a shredded £20 note on the rug. Her speed of thievery is amazing. Fortunately, a lovely colleague at the Post Office and Newsagent's swapped it for me. So, new wellies were acquired along with a new toy of Ivy's choice at the store, bless her. She is fast and furious but has a lovely spark of intelligence to be nurtured. She is a special girl and we are so lucky to have her in our lives

It's hard not to tall in love with the fosters. Each one is special and brings their own special character to our lives. It sounds like this little girl has captured a piece of your heart, which is not surprising. Great updates. Let's hope it won't be too long before she finds her forever home
