Angie and I have just picked up the lovely Chloe from holding kennels. Even though she looks like she has had a hard breeding life she didn't stop wagging her tail. Her temperament is superb. Poor mite has a mammary lump, some old scars, dermatitis and has at some time broken a toe. She is just adorable. She has now had a lovely warm bath, which she seemed to really enjoy and a nice meal. ;D Lenny and Rosie welcomed her and made a fuss of her. She was unsure of Lenny sniffing the back end at first, but soon realised that she was not there to be mounted
I am sure Angie will post some piccies of our bath session and her first few hours shortly.
This little girlie is only about 23 inches at the shoulder, and all angel. Here at the holding kennels A very worried little one
Little Chloe went to see Anil this evening as we had found a mammary lump and he thought it best to whisk her in. That, along with the fact that her glands are slightly up and she is hot on the body and her skin is red is worrying. She is now booked in for tomorrow morning for blood tests and a skin scrape. Worse case scenario is that poor little Chloe has lymphoma.
If this is the diagnosis then she won't be operated on, but given as much help as she can to have a full life. Elly had a large carcinoma removed and has done well.
We won't know until lunchtime what decision has to be made.
She is a lovely dog. Her character is fantastic and she is so loving.
Think of little Chloe tomorrow.
A dog is a gift in life. Love and protect it. _________________
Wishing her all the best for tomorrow, I bet the poor little lass has not been spayed has she, and maybe thats why she has mammary problems. Lets hope everything can be done to help her now she is SLR care.
her age estimated at about 7-8, no jean she has'nt been spayed that is what she is going in for tomorrow along with lump on mamary gland removed and a dental clean, anil is going to take blood first thing to see what is occuring with her white cells so fingers crossed, i hope and prey they are all ok as she has such a lovely nature.
