Please don't forget to take some photos of the happy event and share them with us (for when your new laptop arrives and you are ready to download them). We'd love to see her on here! I promise that there will be a veritable overload of Sandy pics just as soon as the new laptop arrives Vivianne.

Excited but got delayed here a bit. Took the greyhounds out so they're comfortable while we're out and the heavens opened on us. Dogs all dried down, new waterproofs, shoes, slacks etc. and we'll be off soon.

Shopping trip to town completed & all items put away - cupboards, & fridge -freezer all bulging, so doG knows where I'm going to put the supermarket delivery when it arrives! At least Sally won't starve for the foreseeable future.
Annie could have done with her company last night to snuggle up to while it thundered, since she was, as usual, petrified by it.

Poor Annie, my Tilly is just the same with thunder. Luckily we haven't had any, just rain. Hope the girls bond and become best mates. Really looking forward to hearing how it goes.

Sandy is on her way to you and left Watford about 10 minutes ago. She's a beauty and much cared for from Annabelle and Sandy liked her so much!

So glad to hear you've got a new companion for Annie, hope all goes well. We've been in the same boat with Fionn after Tipton died last year and now in the process of finding a new companion for him as you have for Annie (funnily enough Heather will be homechecking us for an oldie at another rescue! small world)
Good luck from Fionn and all the Blackmores, Sandy will certainly have a fantastic new home.

Sorry folks - been trying to post for a while, but bl**dy laptop keeps freezing me out.
The good news is that Claire delivered Sandy safely around 3.30 p.m., & the girls' initial introduction was fine.
I feel as though I've won the lottery, because what everyone who has met Sandy has said about her is absolutely correct - she's a real stunner, & appears to have a lovely temperament. We took the girls for a brief wander round the block, & Sandy walked very well on the lead & was interested in the surroundings & the new sniffs.
On heading back to the home-kennel Sandy took the stairs with no problem, & was keen to explore as soon as we got indoors. She tested all the dog beds & the settee, but seemed happiest on my bed.
I offered her a pigs ear, which she politely refused, but she did take a tripe stick onto my bed.
I've left her alone to explore her new accommodation, & she keeps coming back to see where I am & get a bit of fuss.
All is sweetness & light between the two girls thus far, but I think that Annie's nose mebbe a bit out of joint because of the attention the new arrival is getting, although I'm trying to be even-handed in the fuss department.
I'll hopefully have a new laptop by the end of the week & will post a mountain of pics of the lovely lass.
We're about to go out for a decent walk, (depending on the weather), & I'll let you know how we get on if my computer will let me!
I have to say that I'm totally in love with the new girl on the block.

This is wonderful news! Well done to everyone who cared enough to make Sandy's move to her forever home, possible and to restore that sparkle to Annie's eyes.
