Bobbie and his brother (no name yet) will be staying at MC's for a couple of hours before onwards transport to lovely Casey who is also fostering Skye. He is quite timid, so it will be Skye's job to bring him out of his shell. Around 16-18 weeks max little Bobbie and his brother here were found dumped. A short video and a couple of photos of both boys. Bobbie is the charcoal little man, the smallest of the two. They have had their vet checks, microchipped and just had a bath and some scrambled egg with tuna. They are of a good weight, especially Bobbie's brother, and apart from some ear mites are in good condition. They have not had a lot of contact with humans in their life and so will need plenty of reassurance and gentle strokes whenever being handled. They have already stopped shaking, stopped snapping and were so stoic when they were both bathed. Bobbie is around 16" to the shoulder, only little, but with another 6 to 8 inches to grow yet by the looks. It is early days, and they will need to be assessed around cats and children. Bobbie does travel well and quietly. He met the Symmons pack with sheer fright but Tag showed them he was friendly. They are having a nap in the pen before they go on the next step of their journey. Click but don't blink or you will miss him. And his bath Click With his bigger brother They do stairs

That pic of them both with their yellow leads is heartbreaking - what must have happened to them both for them to be that cowed? Here's hoping now that they are with SLR, they will get to know how great life can be.

What poor little boys, but absolutely gorgeous - please let them find it within themselves to cope and flourish

I expect Casey has her hands full tonight, but a text from her says that Skye has started to play with him and he is loving it. He is still scared of the humans, but I am sure once he sees interaction with Skye and the boys and Casey he will come out of his shell. He was so accepting of everything that was happening to him. Even tried to play with Tag, so inside there is still a bubbly boy wanting some fun. xx

you and your family are doing a brilliant job KC. Your patience and experience will gradually bring him round. He looks so cute and vulnerable, but it won't be long before we see photos of him playing!

Great job - and well done Skye too - keep showing him what to do. I had a book when I was a child about a wire-haired dachshund pup called Fritzie - who had such a similar face- just gorgeous, and just my type!....

Yep, lots of human contact, rewards for doing so and cuddles. And the boys will do all the work. They are brilliant with the fosters. x

Last night Bobbie didn't sleep so well and Paul fell asleep on the floor next to his crate while trying to settle him! On a positive note he was quiet when I got back from the school run and he's started charging up and down the living room with Skye bouncing off the sofas so normal puppy play has started
