This poor wee boy was taken in from the pound by a local rescue we work closely with - he has completed his seven days & can be rehomed.
This is the information we have so far:
He is only a puppy and VERY scared and hand shy. Jumpy to noise and movement. Not sure what the lead is all about and nervous to walk.
He is on 4 small meals a day.
He only arrived yesterday so could gain confidence over time with care and attention.
A gentle little boy who has no idea what is going on.
He took no notice of the chickens which were right next to him for the photo shoot but that could be just because he was so traumatised.
I'll post some pics when Photobucket site maintenence has finished. In the meantime I've left a message with the rescue to say that SLR will take him on board.
Updates will follow as soon as possible.

Oh bless! Poor lad Will he be at yours when you get him Barney? Seems like he needs some of Winnie's mothering and a nice home kennel to relax in.

Yup, she's a real godsend when it comes to taking care of waifs & strays who cross our threshhold.

So you're not looking for a foster home for him? ;D Yes, we definitely will be Jane, (if indeed he comes to us - we're still waiting to hear), but I'll have him initially to get him checked over at the vets & carry out a brief assessment so that we can hopefully give his fosterer a clear idea of what to expect.
My involvement would just be at the outset, since I believe 'tis common knowledge that I'm totally useless at fostering! ;D

Some pics of a 10 month old little lad in obvious need of a great deal of TLC:

Poor little baby!
I can't understand how anybody can treat a dog like that and still live with themselves!
He's safe now. Welcome, Elmer.
