All went well at the vets....eventually ;D ;D She was the centre of attention and gave the vet a thorough face licking, which he seemed to enjoy very much. ;D ;D Any other dog that came into the waiting room was greeted with an upside down Jasmine being very submissive. Owners were kissed. The vets don't have much confidence in my ability as a foster mum, they reckon I'm going to fail. ;D ;D ;D Bath time later this afternoon. Depending on how she is with that I'll try get some more piccies on. Fun times.

Michaela rang from the Vets this morning. Little one was already microchipped, and on tracing her chip we found the owner. The dog has now been released into our care and chip changed into the Rescue. couldnt beleive what i was reading for a moment. Have spoken to Michaela, and she is loving having little Jasmine there. What a lucky doggy, ..new name, and a new start to life, in a loving foster home, where she is going to be thorougly spoilt,......probably for the first time in her life Jasmine was such a treasure yesterday being moved from car to car, to reach her destination, and not a peep from her. Bless her, she deserves the best life has to offer now

Hard to beleive I agree personally I'd be frantic about my hound, but fate has ahand in many things and Jasmines fate is in foster with SLR on the way to a bright future. Looking forward to more photos Micheala she looks a little sweetheart....and umm so what if you fail.....it'll be fate taking a hand.

Oh believe me, I don't need any more tempting. ;D ;D I know it's too early to say she's perfect but, she's PERFECT. I could not have wished for an easier first foster. Well, apart from catching her in the act of nibbling my bookshelf but she responds very well to "no" . I did say I would bath her today and try to get some more pics up but have had to delay that until tomorrow as my shoulders and neck are killing. Need a good massage me thinks.

That's very true Jenny. Jasmine's personality is beginning to come out now. An accomplished counter surfer; I was making a cup of tea in the kitchen and decided to put some food out for the birds, I was gone no more than 2 mintues but by the time I got back in she had emptied my cup of milk. ;D Took her for a walk earlier and a cat dashed across the road in front of us; she was like a bullet out of a gun but didn't get very far being on lead, nearly took me with her though. She is a very strong girlie for her size and I think we can safely say she has a strong chase instinct. She stole my dustpan and brush while I went to the loo and managed to chew up the handle a good bit by the time I got back to her, swapped it for a nice rawhide chew and that satisfied her. 'Butter Wouldn't Melt' ;D ;D

Ooh ek, our Tag, that we had to keep in the end is still surprising us every day. At nearly 3 he chews, and today Mollie made a lovely cake, but Tag had to try it first. when will she learn not to leave it even at the back of the worktop. Enjoy.x

Is her fur lovely and soft to the touch? George could well be her brother, they do look pretty similar. Only their ears look a bit different. He too is an excellent counter surfer loves food - anybody's he can get and has a strong chase instinct. He is the softest gentle boy though and loves kids, everybody, all the other dogs here especially the pups and our cat! Oh and my Jasmine my first SLR dog sends a special hello.

Hi Christina, they could be twins. Jasmine's ears have a life all of there own, they don't always stick up and definately flop down like George's when she's tired. ;D They do sound like they have the same lovely soft temperament, Jazz always wants to say hello to everybody in a very bouncy way but she's a bright wee pup and is learning. We had a lovely walk this morning and met a couple of dogs. The first was a Staffie and I asked the owner if we could come over and say hello. She said it would be fine once she has taken the ball away from her dog, so we went over. Jazz was very keen, bouncing and pulling toward her and she got a good telling off from the Staffie bitch. ;D She immediately bounced out of the way then tried to approach again only to get another telling off, she then calmed down and just looked at the other dog. Continued the walk and came across a very cross terrier x who was barking and snapping towards Jazz but she just calmly walked past. I am so impressed with this girl, she is so quick to learn and will pick up on things so easily - she's teaching me rather than the other way round. ;D ;D Oh, one more thing. The first night I put her bed down in my bedroom and after a mad 15 mins she settled down and slept through. The second night, I took her up with me but this time she wouldn't settle so I ended up taking my duvet and pillow downstairs and she immediately went to sleep on the other sofa. Last night, she put herself in her crate and I went up to bed. After a few minutes I came down for a peek as I thought I'd heard noises and wondered what she was upto, she was fast asleep on the sofa. Can this girl get any better? She is having a visitor today in the form of my sisters German Shepherd who is just as submissive as Jazz is. I'll take some pics and report back in due course.

All went well between Marley and Jasmine today, they got on just fine. Jazz was very well behaved after a mad 10 minutes of excitement running round the walls and all over everyone and Marley was a star with her. Marley belongs to my sister Sharon and her partner Steve, and he is a real 'carer dog'. He looks after a little old lady Boxer cross called Winnie who was from 'Oldies Club'. Anyway here's some pics but I didn't manage to get any of them running around together. Enjoy. Ooh treats! , . It's been an exciting and busy day.

Absolutely stunning photos. I love the duo looking attentive. I'd love to see her alongside George. George hopefully is going to live in Essex, not a milliion miles away. Hopefully Jasmine will stay local and both could get to the funday in June.

Thanks Karla, Sharon and Steve will be very proud and chuffed parents at that comment. Thanks much Nina. I do hope her life is different now from the start she had and it continues to get better and better. I'm sure they'd be like a pair of bookends Jenny. I wonder if George is as canny as Jasmine? It would be great to see them together and get some nice pics. She's had a lovely walk this morning and behaved really well. Two lots of joggers ran by her but she sat beautifully and focused on my hand that held the treats. She is very food focused and will be easy to train. She is not however, food possessive. She did the same when a dog walked by on the other side of the road. I'm hoping to meet up for a walk with my friend Nic later and her two greyhounds. Oh, nearly forgot to mention. Jasmine has taught herself to open all the internal doors in my house. I'm hoping she can't fathom the front and back doors. Eeek. She will also jump the gate I have between the living room and kitchen. I will work with her on those things but she really should not be underestimated.
