He so reminds me of my beautiful boy Toby I have recently lost - I think that is why I have been following his thread so closely! He looks very similar even down to the white tip on his tail and white chest and Tobes used to do that stretching his legs out soo long! Looking at all the great work all of you do for these dogs has brought me some pleasure in these early days after my loss, thank you everyone

Hi All - just to keep everyone updated.
Tag is the winner of a red rosette in the SLR on line Best Condition Rescue!!! He doesn't seem that impressed....but we are!! Photo to follow.
He's continuing to get stronger and stronger and is somewhat muscling up in all parts of his body now - I think some of this is down to his twice / thrice daily speed races with Kezzie round the field. They are completely loving each others company and play alot in the house as well which is 'challenging' in a small place but they're a fun pair together. Basil.... not amused!!
I definitely think a future home - although James dare I say it keeps saying, he might as well just stay with us (??!) - needs to have another playmate for him. Poor Basil does get a bit pushed by him, its not on purpose but he's so tall and doesn't really know his own strength and poor Basil gets a bit of a bash now and again!
He doesn't go mad with his running, likes his 5/10 minutes and thats it - Kezzie would go on and on and on but he's quite boring in that enough is enough and won't be persuaded otherwise. They either race each other in a straight line or do the circle with Kezzie chasing Tag!
His excellent behaviour continues - the best most obdient hound I have ever known!

OK - have to report he can jump! Waiting today to go through said 5ft gate into field he just decided to jump it from a standstill - I mean why bother waiting for me to open the gate or go under the fence with the others. I couldn't believe it!! He popped over like it was a twig on the floor!! So just a little tempted to see if he'd do it again repeated the exercise, yep straight over the top! His muscles are working!

Can you belive it..... I think this was on the cards from day one to be honest! It's a 50% failure rate on the fostering and the addition of Mr Tag probably knocks us off the list for the time being but its been worth it to end up with our little team of doglets. Tag and Kezzie are so happy playing and chasing that it would have been heartbreaking to separate them, well that's my excuse!! I would have hardened my heart (?maybe) but my other half has fallen at the first fence and the minute there was interest in Tag there was no decision to make. He's such a lovely lovely dog and I think we'll all be a very happy family here. We're about to move into bigger house with land so there will be space for everyone, including poor Basil who bless him, just takes it all in his stride but I did spy him having a little run with Tag too the other day so maybe he thinks he's ok too!

I've been trying to post on here for two days but every time its failed! We're so very pleased for you and Tag ;D . Had a soft spot for the lad as he was found with Maisie so to know the home he's had with you since day one is his furever home is magical (apart from the house move). It tore our hearts out parting with Maisie so can totally understand how you feel about Tag. We know four is our limit now and its thanks to SLR that we doubled our numbers in six months . Your pack look so happy together and that brings you happiness too. Wonderful ;D.
