Thanks all for name suggestions. Still contemplating. I must decide though because in Pets At Home this morning everyone was asking what his name was! Could I find a bleeding dog coat in there to fit him... nope! He's just so thin that this cold air gets to him. Jenny is sending me one but in meantime think will have to cut up a jumper - any ideas?!
Anyhow - peaceful night all round. Never heard a peep out of him. He just stayed downstairs (yes he stayed downstairs - first ever!!!! Yeah!!!) on his bed by the fire and apart from I heard him get up and get a drink 12-ish he didn't move until we went out for morning walk. Clean in the house as well.
Was pretty scared in the car this morning though going to do my horses - trembled the whole way there and back - I think he wondered what was going to happen next but back in the office now and all fast asleep and a few deep sighs coming through so I think he's settling. Kez has claimed all chews purchased this morning - just making sure the new boy gets nothing that's hers!! Monkey dog.
I don't think there's anything bad to say about this chap - photos will follow but he's not exactly looking his best at the moment!

Pepe as in Pepe Le Peau I love the fact that he escaped from the car and ran into the house to be with. That is the sign that he already knows which side of the bread is buttered. Hugs from us. He's lovely.

Oh forgot to say. When I've been desperate for a quick coat...childrens cheap primark fleeces can be quickly modified to fit. I use the front sleeves for front legs and then pull waist up from underneath and cut a little hole and thread wide ribbon or fabric scrap through and tie.

Hi Sara, when SJ (Sally) took Lady Noname to the vets this morning, she wouldn't get out of the car. Fear of being dumped I guess.
Interesting that they are both clean in the house, yet they have been so badly neglected. I don't think I want to know too much about their past.
Abi has told Lady Noname that she can now look forward to the rest of her life. As long as she has another bath on Tuesday.....
Jack.

Hi Jack - yes very strange and best not known. Poor 'Tag' now named just trembles in the car - I think it reminds him of the shed as it's a Mitsub warrior so the tailgate is not luxury but there would be a war if he got in the back seat with Basil and Kezzie!

His new fleece should help him to feel more secure as well as toasty warm. Keep us posted on even the tiniest positive steps

Named Tag because apparently the tip of a foxes tail is called a Tag and as he's a foxy looking chap with a white tip on his tail that's his name and he seems to like it too!

The name suits him and, oh bless sarar, it sounds as if little Tag is beginning to respond well to your kindness which is a big step towards trust for this poor little abused boy. Way to go, Tag! Viviane. X
