There's gonna be a huge Holly shaped hole in your house when she moves on. You're not wrong She's really settling in now, which makes it even harder when they leave... Come on peeps someone put me out of my misery and give Holly a wonderful home, the longer it goes on the more it's going to break my heart to say goodbye. Don't worry mummychook I will be saying goodbye - no more keepers in this house

We've been trying to get her to sit but not really having a lot of success, she knows 'down' now though so perhaps this is all we'll get from her Karla , my Orla ( same height as Holly) never sits, lies down even to eat, but does not do sit - must be a "tall girl " thing In the meantime..... now you see me... brilliant photos ;DNow you don't...

Holly has been a superstar this weekend with two long forest walks and her recall is spot on. She loves running through the trees after Reggie although the small gaps he gets through don't always cope with a Holly size crashing through afterwards She's not fazed by any other dogs she meets although she does want to say hello to them all In typical lurcher fashion she will chase another dog if the run away so I'm keeping her away from any timid looking dogs just to be on the safe side, being that she's a clumsy oaf I don't want any mishaps occuring! We did attend the SLR walk in the New forest yesterday but had to leave earlier than intended so unfortunately I didn't get any photo's of her out and about - sorry. Gilly, Jim & houndies came over for dinner last night and she was fabulous as always with all the doggies milling about Having a girlie chit-chat with Shylo & Lizzie Snuggling with ickle Freddie An elegant roach I'm very lucky to get lots of kisses and cuddles from Holly as she's super-affectionate I honestly can't praise this girl enough - I know I've said it before - but she really is one in a million She's so easy to foster we keep forgetting she's not one of ours. She's slotted into our routine so quickly and nothing seems to faze her anymore. She's learning a lot from my dogs as well as from us and I think she would adapt to pretty much any form of loving home very quickly. The only home I would be wary of is one with small children as she is a big lump and wouldn't really think twice about getting on a childs lap for a cuddle and I'd be concerned about her squishing a diddy-kid

Very clever Jacky-boy Is poetry a new hobby? ;D Holly got set upon yesterday by a couple of terrier She was on lead and they were running free, took one look at her and came haring over snapping and barking at her ankles!! Holly took absolutely no notice she stepped out of their way but didn't even so much as sniff them, such a good girl ;D They then started on Reggie but clever little chappie just out ran them

terriers - typical maybe she should have sat on them by accident of course fab pics Karla - and you're right, she would be a bit big and cumbersome for kiddies but what a stunning girl clearly she LOVES her foster mum

Thanks to Fran (Willowsmum) I got 2 dogmatic collars in the post today on loan I tried them out on this evenings walk - one on Holly & one on Shylo - and I can not believe how good they were Both girls walked perfectly together and it was so easy I had them both in the same hand!! I have to buy a few of these collars, they are brilliant. If anyone is concerned about taking Holly on because of her pulling then a must is a dogmatic collar and she walks beautifully, not one pull

blimey, thought we were gonna see a nudey mark for a minute I wouldn't do that to you all Kate, that would just be mean She is seriously lovely Kara and will break my heart to say goodbye to her..... but we can't offer her a home here beacuse for a start we're just not right for her and that's not fair on her but also 6 is definitely one too many for us We had an emergency with Reggie last night in that he had a serious allergic reaction to a piece of orange and we had to rush him to the vets.... I've never been so scared my poor boy ballooned to twice the size with horrid big red welts all over his body!! Thankfully the vet sorted him out and we were able to bring him home... extremely dopey bless him.... and Holly was just so unbelievable cute with him When Mark carried him in from the car he put him on the sofa and he barely opened his eyes but Holly came straight over and sat on the floor in fron tof him and gave him little licks all over his face and then rested her head next to him She's such a sensitive girlie

Essential rehoming criteria for Holly is a sofa big enough for either hound or human snuggles She'll be miserable without contact of some sort.... and if dogs aren't allowed on your furniture then she's not the dog for you

Why doesn't anyone want my gorgeous great lummox Holly-Berry She has got so much love to give and she desperately needs a mummy & daddy that have all the time and love in the world to lavish on her She hasn't got a bad bone in her body and even though she's a big girl she doesn't get in your way or overpower in anyway. She's just there and praying that someone notices her If you fuss her you make her day She's fabulous with all other dogs - out and about she does seem to forget how big she is and can bowl the little ones over - but there is absolutely no malice, she's just an uncoordinated baby You can so tell she's been a mummy as she's taken little Jasmine under wing and loves playing with her, sleeping with her and generally being with her and making sure she's ok. Letting Jasmine puppy beat her up Keeping her safe Checking she's ok Come on people - you seriously don't know what you're missing out on here. Happy Obliging Lovable Loopy Yearling
