Karla............that has given me such a glow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am so happy that she is with you & yours and she looks so chilled. If she gets a bit OTT just correct her - a very biddable girl. It's wonderful to see her again in the pics.... and to know she is now about to embark on the rest of her life..... Thank you give her a hug from me - I showered her with baby talc yesterday as it was too cold to bathe her so hope she's still a wee bit fragrant gill xx

Just spoken to Mark and he's given her something to eat and has taken her out for a walk. He took just her, leaving our lot at home and says she walks beautifully on the lead and met a few other dogs as good as gold xx
I defy anyone that meets this young lady not to be smitten with her xx

Perhaps in view of her height & semi-rough coat, she may be a Wolfhound x ??

Looking at her face there may well be some wolfhound in there - she's got a very broad skull and she has MASSIVE feet She has finally settled down for a bit of a snooze....phew.... first time since she got here! She's been on the go non stop since walking through the door, but then I guess being shut in the transporter for so long it's understandable she didn't want to sit still.. She's had absolutely everything that wasn't nailed down in her mouth... no chewing just taking and playing with. She's played for ages with Reggie and he seems to love her although one swipe of her paw and he goes flying across the room..lol!! I took her out this evening for a walk with Vinnie & Shylo and she was as good as gold. She walks lovely on the lead, very bouncy but no pulling. She desperately wanted to play with Vinnie as he was running after his frisbee so I popped her on a longer line and let her have a run about. She's a bit of a clutz and kept tripping over her own feet - wouldn't you if they were that big but she had fun and was out of breath quite quickly. We met a lady with a couple of springers that were bouncing around and she paid no attention what so ever. She ate her dinner very calmly next to Dylan and although she did think that his looked a little more exciting than hers a quick no stopped her from muscling in and she happily went back to eating hers. I don't think she realises quite how big and heavy she is as she doesn't worry about treading on the others or sitting on them or pushing them out of the way... none of them really mind though so it's no problem. Shylo had a little grump at her earlier as she stood on her back whilst trying to get passed but Holly just looked at her as it to say 'what's your problem lady' and carried on through!! She is a little bit smelly but nothing too bad, we were going to give her a bath tonight but seeing as she's settled I might leave that until tomorrow now. I'm going to take her up to Manor Farm tomorrow and give her a run in the enclosed field - try and get some of that energy out of her. Gilly's going to meet me with the JRT's too so we can see what she's like with little dogs. I honestly don't think she'll have an issue as I don't think there is a single aggressive bone in her body. I'd be interested to try her with cats as she doesn't seem to have any prey instincts at all, she's more interested in sniffing the ground than scanning the horizon. All in all she's a gorgeous hunk of a dog and I have to say I think this one is going to be hard to say goodbye to xx Couldn't quite stay on the sofa... Come on boys play with me Playing bitey face with Nero

Thank you Karla for the update... Yep, she is a bit clumsy..lol...first time she galloped around the garden here she used me to stop...full force... but then when playing with Bracken she went even faster. She cannot keep up the constant running pace and will stop when she's had enough. Pretty clear that Holly in her previous "home" - if you could call it that, was kept for breeding and not exercised, once she develops muscle tone she will be very powerful She really will enjoy her bath !! Holly does seem to think she can fit physically into any space - and did love to park herself on my knee ;D with all her legs in the air... She "may" be ok around cats - I walked her past my hens in their run and she never even looked at them. She will love her run around a field at that farm... She looks very happy at your home with your woofs. I feel she definately will need a home with another dog for company. gill x

Holly is continuing to be a little big angel xx She's been total clean since she got here and is quite happy to go out to the toilet whenever one of the others goes out and with 5 others here that's quite often! She did play me up a little last night and wouldn't have a wee before bed even though I was stood outside with her for about half an hour. I knew she wanted to go as she started and then I think I might have scared her as she stopped and then wouldn't go after that So in we came and then Mark went out with her and she went for a wee straight away for him...... daddies girl She came upstairs to bed with all the other as they sleep in our room so we put a bed down for her next to Mark and after a few cheeky attempts at getting on our bed - she's not the easiest of dogs to move when she's doesn't want to be moved I can tell you - but she's certainly not grumpy about it and is happy to be pushed & pulled around. Anyway, she soon settled on her bed once she realised she wasn't going to get away with sleeping on ours Dylan got us all up just before 7am this morning right on cue (Dylan is the alarm clock in this house) and I took all the dogs downstair to the toilet. Holly took a bit of encouragement to get her butt out of bed though...I think she was just too comfy. She ate her breakfast with all the others although she was quite slow and they had all fininshed long before her so there was a little cue forming behind her waiting to make sure she hadn't left anything. Not a single grumble from her though even when Dexter stuck his nose in her bowl, such a good girl We had to leave her for about 20mins this morning as Mark & I had the dentist. I left first and then Mark left about 15mins after me. He put Holly in the kitchen with a chew and a few toys and then shut the dog gate between her & the others - as she's so playful we didn't want her causing chaos with the others while we weren't here. Anyway I do believe missy suffers with a smidging of SA as my neighbour tells me she howled from the moment Mark left until I got back and when I came in I found her on top of the kitchen table.... I'm sure once she's more settled with my guys and they with her we can leave them together and she'll probably be more settled - I hope anyway!! She been a little unsettled since I got back and keeps looking out the window so I'm guessing she's looking for Mark. Otherwise she seems happy enough and has tested every single bed & sofa in the lounge and has finally picked Reggie's bum to sleep on Hooooge plates of meat Sleeping beauty A little video of her dreaming ;D

Super pix! You must have all had great fun. Jenny will have to find this girl a baronial hall with a walk-in fireplace, to set off her noble looks!
