Has Bobby gone to his forever home yet? Every time I look at him it's like looking at Dezzie!

Time for a quick update on Bobby. He was a star over Christmas. There were lots of presents and tasty food lying around, but he didn't touch any of it. He's so chilled in the house, and whilst we were unwrapping presents/plahing games etc, he just took himself off and slept all day. However, although you can't fault his behaviour in the house, outside he is a bit mischievous. He pulls quite strongly on the lead, so you need to be able to cope with him tugging you along, and sometimes leaping about on the end of your arm if he wants to get to something. He is also a keen chaser, and is constantly watching for any squirrels/birds to chase. He does run off after animals and chase them, so you need to be careful with this. As he is getting more and more confident, he is developing 'selective hearing' and will come back the first few times, but then will ignore you until he's finished his game/chase. The only other thing is that he plays like a typical young lurcher, all biting and running. Now, Fionn loves this, as does a big GSD puppy that walks round here. They can take it, but most dogs (and their owners) don't like it, as it looks so rough. So we'd love for him to have a dog living in the home that will play with him and be able to cope with his lurcher games. Bobby's such a lovely boy, and we all love him here. He's a real sweetie. Now for pictures! Being a baby Put 'em up! Playing in the snow Mixing with all kinds of dogs His best friend, Sam, the GSD In size order Then enjoying a treat on Christmas Day 'Fanks Mum!'

He's just FABULOUS, and SO like little Dezzie, who also pulls furiously on the lead! I don't know whether you've tried him in a harness? Dezzie doesn't strain nearly so hard in one, and is already beginning to gauge where her limit is on the extendable. Walking to heel however, does not appeal. TOO MUCH TO SEE! TOO MUCH TO DO! LET'S GO!

We were going to try him on a harness, but we only have Fionn's huge one here. So if anyone's got a small one they wouldn't mind lending? But yes, I definitely think he would walk better in a harness. Poor thing just hated the Halti. I know what you mean Kate, he's thinking, why should I walk to heel when there are all these exciting things to smell and see? He certainly did love the snow. Everytime we went out in it he went hyper and would race around, eating it, and shoving his nose in it
