Archie's gorgeous! Just my type Bobby continues to be a wondeful house guest. He's very good in the house, and spends most of the day sleeping, suprisingly. He is getting more playful though, and will play with a tennis ball if you start a game with him, but he gets bored easily. He's also started trying to play with Fionn, and keeps play bowing and nibbling Fionn's face, but he's not interested On walks he's quite bouncy, and will pull on the lead to try and get to the other dogs. He's desperate to play with them, but he doesn't respond to his name yet, so no off lead for him until his recall improves. However he's very bright and a quick learner, so no doubt he'll pick this up soon. Here are some more pictures of the handsome boy As you can see he's a real cuddle monster

I just can't get over how much he looks like my Dexter everything about his appearance, other than the fact that Dex is smooth coated, is the same... the paws, the white chest, the lemon brindle, the nose the look in his eyes... everything.... it's scaring my somewhat!! Do you know any history on him? When Dexter came over from Ireland there were another 2 boys & 1 girl in the litter all of which were homed around the Kent/Sussex area.... I wonder if Bobby could be one of them

I see what you mean Karla, but if I remember correctly weren't all of Dexter's litter smooth coated? Also, how tall is Dexter? Bobby's only little, he's about 20" tts Anyway, Bobby's doing really well. Still clean in the house, sleeps most the day, still tugs on the lead though. He's starting to learn his name now, which is good. And Fionn's decided that Bobby is worthy to play with him (which is quite a privilege as Fionn is very choosey, and will only play with a select few! ) But yesterday they played bitey-face for an hour! They've been playing a lot since then, which is lovely to see. I think Fionn's very happy he's got a playmate Bobby really loves playing, so I think he would need a home with another young dog who will play lurcher style with him I've got some more pictures of the handsome boy He's SUCH a cuddle monster, and loves nothing more than snuggling up with you

Bobby went off lead for the first time this morning. We really wanted to let him off as he's so desperate to play with Fionn, and hates being on the lead when the others are off (also he responds to his name now, and his recall was looking good). So, the lead came off.....and he was fantastic He ran around like a looney, and it was so nice to see him burning off his excess energy. He had a good play with Fionn, but came straight back when called and sat for a treat He's such a good boy, a quick learner and very obedient. The real test will be when he goes off and there are 'distractions' like strange dogs around. But he was brilliantly behaved this morning, so it bodes well for the future. I've got some more recent photos to bore you with And guess what he's doing in some of them? Oh yes, cuddling! What a suprise If you want a dog you can cuddle, then Bobby's the dog for you. He LOVES to be cuddled. I think it's comforting for him, and he just falls asleep in your arms And then off lead this morning I've also got a video of him running around, but photobucket's being slow, so I'll add it later.

He is adorable, and perfectly behaved Bobby is a star in the house - he never puts a foot wrong. He's housetrained, sleeps all day, doesn't have SA, doesn't bin raid or counter surf, gets on with humans and dogs equally...he couldn't be any better behaved! Out on walks his only issue is his pulling on the lead, but with a bit of training and once he gets used to hs lead, I'm sure he'll improve. He's really bright, and learns really quickly. He goes off lead on every walk now as he just loves to play. This morning, he was playing with about 8 other dogs, and loving it. His recall is superb, and as soon as you call him he will come back and sit at your feet He does also rush over to see other dogs, but if you call him as he approaches them, he will turn and come back to you. He's very responsive. We dropped him off at the vets this morning to be neutered, and the poor thing didn't understand why we were leaving him. So fingers crossed all goes well. I have a feeling he'll spend most of the day curled up in the office at the vets, as they just love him there!

Thanks Rowan. Has Mel chipped him yet? I can see Mel ending up with a hound one of these not too distant days.
