Alfie was due to go to his new home today, but early this morning he had an epileptic fit. Christina has taken him to the vets and he is absolutely fine now, but the Vet agrees that if it was quite a big one then we need to give him another week to see if another one occurs. His new mum to be has also had a traumatic day today, as she has had to have her oldie sent to rainbow bridge this morning also. She is clearly upset on both accounts, but would still like to adopt Alfie when the all clear is given. We are going to have to monitor Alfie and if he fits again within the week we will have tests done on him. Epilepsy is a controllable illness in dogs, and there are many happy healthy dogs with epilepsy, but we are steering on the side of caution for a week. Mega hugs to Christina and also his prospective mum Sarah.

Thank you for the kind wishes on this thread today . Just to let everyone know Alfie/wilf is much better this evening . He has had a walk today and been very good if a little quiet. He woke me at 6am already having a fit poor boy so I'm not too sure how long it had been going on but I trust the noise woke me up straight away. He came round after a couple of minutes and recovered pretty quick. We have enjoyed lots of hugs and cuddles I have spoken to Sarah who is very upset at the loss of her collie Phoebe today so big (((huggs))) to her and her Daughter, thinking of you both. Jazz has managed to hurt her leg somehow this afternoon with swelling round her joint and is having to be carried everywhere. It never rains.......

Alfie/Wilf had a good walk today off lead and is recall is excellent . He likes to be in front but waits for you if he is too far ahead and comes back straightaway if you call him. He plays with Mia but mostly does his own thing sniffing and marking trees! He loves other dogs but very repectfully. He still likes to be close following me around the house but not quite so jumpy everytime I move. He loves playing ball best of all and is so happy if you spend time throwing it for him. ;D They all loved playing in the snow especially Mia and Poppy. Mia likes to go loopy running in circles barking and then barking while she runs in the opposite direction, then a bit of digging and she starts all over again! Nutter! Jazz is still limping but better for resting her leg today, will see how she is tomorrow but think a trip to the vets is on the cards. She is still managing to limp downstairs from my bedroon to eat all her dinner before I can take it upstairs for her though! She likes to rest on the chair up there.

Alfie is having a great time off lead, he went for a walk this morning with Eva (Mia'a sister) and was so well behaved . Jazz and Poppy on the other hand went off to hunt rabbits dissapearing for ages making us wait in the cold . Jazz had an emergency appointment at the Vets at 11am on Monday morning, at 10.30am she comes downstairs walking on her bad leg with the swelling much better... Typical She is fine now a couple of days rest helped, its the acting up that makes me feel so stupid! Alfie has no chase instinct one rabbit ran out of the bushes right across Alfies path and he just wathced it go. The others did a complete U turn and ran in completley the wrong direction! They are good at flushing them out but no good at catching them.

Alfie or Wilfie has left for his new home! ;D He was due to go tomorrow but his new owners, Sarah and Lilly were so keen to get him they couldn't wait and asked to get him a few hours early! He loved their dogs and wanted to play straightaway. There were three very waggy tails as soon as they met. Here are a few pictures:- Alfie and Stanley The beautiful Jazz with her mum All watching the ball Jazz laughing! Stanley having a drink Alfie now Wilfie with Lilly Wilfie giving a special smile! Have a wonderful life Wilfie, missing you already!
